New Amex statement credits

I am extremely sorry to report that my better half arrived home yesterday with just 748 grams - 6 mini (teeny better description) bars and 45 balls.

She will be undergoing several more counseling sessions AND attend a tessellation course.

A rapid repack post photo left room for another 24-28 at least!!!
There has been 1 casualty so far...

Just not good enough. Not embracing the spirit of the exercise at all.

Bugga, just returned with an oil filter. Had I known I would have topped it up.
Never mind I need a spare globe for the bike, and maybe some oil, and ........ feeling better again. ;)

I've just made my $90 spend online with House (spend $90, receive $30 credit). I immediately recevied two emails..... one for the $30 credit and one from Shop Small for another $10. If both credits land, that will be $40 back for $90 spend and there is currently 25% off on the web site so I will have snagged $130 worth of goods for $57. Gotta love that :).

No doubt, I have now jinxed it and something will go wrong!

Did you notice the 7.5% cashback through Pricepal?

edit: Just had a look at the House site. Thanks for the heads up Mr Orange, there are some items there I could use.

I've just gone on a bit of a spree too

Sadly, I'm not a Pricepal member as I have a company run rewards scheme and one of those (well actually two if you count Qantas Mall) is enough for me, but another 7.5% would have been gold!

This is starting to sound like OzBargain.

Just looked at House and decided that the only thing I needed was possibly $90 worth of washing up gloves. That sorts out my Chritsmas presses this year. ;)

With a % off on the House site, is it necessary to ensure it's a $90 total spend after discounts ie get more for the buck?

Yes. what Amex 'sees' as triggering the credit is the amount charged to the card. I was on last night and seem to remember free shipping triggering at $86

Free shipping kicks in at $90.

I just bought a couple of things for the new place.

$90.15 Total
- $30 Statement Credit
- $10 Shop Small
- 6.4% CashRewards
- 25% HOUSEFRENZY

= One happy camper.

The Moet Hennessy offer actually looks decent.

Can be stacked with a new joiner $25 discount, so $75 off an order greater than $275 brings their high-ish prices down to something more normal.

Anyone got a good mixed pack to share?

I had a look at house even with the click frenzy on and this credit everything I wanted was still cheaper on other online kitchen and homeware shops...

there is $50 off $300 spend code on ozbn.

I just visited Lindt Martin Place and managed to fit 71 balls in my large box ;)

After the $10.00 back, it will cost $14.50 for 71 balls, that's 20.4 cents per Lindt ball :D :D

I didn't bring my other two Amex cards but will do so tomorrow for Round 2 and 3 :)

Did you follow through in the end?

Details, details...

I just tried to stack it with the SPEND300SAVE50 offer, and it didn't work.

But 50+50 off is better than 50+25 ;)

What didnt work?

Stacking multiple discount codes. You can only use one per order.

However you can stack the statement credit with one discount code, hence taking $100 off ($50 discount, and $50 statement credit) a $350 order is the optimal scenario.

$350 order is the optimal scenario.

Indeed, it is. I have found it very difficult to hit that magic number though. I got to $349.98 I think, but then would have been stung with $12 delivery. I'm still running my numbers and deciding what to order.
