New Amex statement credits

My $450 credit appeared today, dated 9th.. win!
Ditto overnight for me as well so $400 off the wine I bought from Qantas Wine :) I still don't understand why, how etc but others may benefit to know that purchases from Qantas Wine seem to trigger the Amex $400 travel / HN credit as well :)

10 bonus MR/QFF per dollar on Uber & Uber Eats - on cards I haven't previously had Uber transactions on (QF Ultimate, DJ Platinum x 2)

What card do you have? Reading back through the thread it seems there are two offers people have received. One mentions QF, QF Wine and a couple of other QF merchants while another mentions HN. I’m guessing the QF Wine maybe be on the QF Ultimate Amex?? I have the Explorer and my email mentioned HN.

I have the Explorer and my travel credit mentions HN. No mention of Qantas Wine hence my surprise

People seem to have concluded it's in lieu of an Amex travel credit expiring in the second half of 2021. If you used yours already or it expires later (like all of mine), I think you're out of luck.
mmm I used my credit booked early october then got the offer for 450 HN/Amex Travel
delay in marketing? or just sent to all Plat Charge members?

Has anyone had issues woth the $300 Credit for Fine Dining?
Ive used it x2 in ADL at Bottega Rotolo Hyde Park (didnt trigger offer email ( called Amex they said I shopped at a diff store -even though they have only one shopfront - asked to send receipt which clearly shows address on receipt as address of merchant participating, but merchant on credit card part of receipt is listed as Bottega Rotolo Mile End - is this a scam by Bottega Rotolo? who pays for the credit?)
Shop the next day at Marinos Butchers triggered offer email received but hasnt shown up as credit

anyways in PERTH on weekend got my $200 for DJs credit after shopping DJ Hays Street Mall showed up Tuesday - and Hilton Got $80 credit with 458 spend - both triggered emails
So whats the story with Amex Fine Dining?
Interestingly I have x3 amex cards and with Amex DMO all transactions on all 3 cards had spend triggered offer email, except for 1. Queried Amex June 21 -they said wait full 90 days - then after 90 days had to call back and they manually applied the credit

That's complete rubbish. How are you meant to know that the merchant on their equipment is somehow different and therefore valid. I'd escalate this...unless you're likely to make use of it somewhere else anyway.

Yes sounds like a scam to me - not much choice to use it in South Australia Maybe I'll have to do some online ordering from the interstate merchants listed. Interestingly when I was in Perth on the weekend I checked into Ritz Carlton on an Amex FHR Travel booking using Amex Travel Credit and a pre-authorisation of $`100 was done by Ritz Carlton - this triggered an Amex Fine Dining Offer email - the Hearth Restaurant and Hearth Lounge in hotel there are listed as participating in Amex Fine Dining offer - Go Figure!!
I'll wait and see what happens as Philippines based rep asked me to upload the receipt and said she would forward it to marketing

Bottega Rotolo warehouse is at Mile End. I'd follow up with Amex

I have uploaded receipt to Card Management at Amex agent's request which says Bottega Rotolo 1/44 King William Road Goodwod then on same receipt for Eftpos shows merchant as Bottega Rotolo Mile End Haven't heard back from Amex

Yes, looks like it. Nothing for me - expiring in March 2022 so still some time yet.

Curious though - what about people who used the 2021 travel credit but their trip was cancelled and the credit refunded. Assuming that situation would still count, since the credit remains?

I used up my TCs for some VA domestic flights earlier this year which were cancelled due to lockdowns with the $$ trapped in the "Travel Bank" as they were non refundable fares. I got the HN credit for my Edge which is the next card in my "AMEX portfolio" to have its TC refreshed. I'm pretty sure that for me, it's a replacement. As much as I don't really shop at HN, I like this initiative & hope they make the change permanent as using my TCs historically hasn't been that user friendly. I'll just book and pay for flights and accommodation when I want to travel. Booking through the portal isn't always the best deal so the effective value of the TC is lower than the face value. Maximising the face value requires some input of time - I think it comes down to how much do you value your time?

Has anyone tried the AMEX Vogue Fashion $20 cashback on gift cards in Myer or DJ this year? T&C suggests it may not work in Myer, but itv always has in past.

Myer wont work. And hasn't worked previously because Myer uses a separate payment procesing system. David Jones will work. Any of the busineses listed will work for gift cards as long as they do not use a separate payment processing system. Rememeber this ofer is online only.

And if it assists Shopback has up to17% off for the next few hours at Myers. Can stack with the Vogue offer to get a healthy discount.

Even if they don’t use a different payment processing system won’t they ‘know ‘ it is an ineligible gift card purchase by virtue of it being an online process ?
