This is the first ever Membership Month and it’s set to be huge. Below is a taste of what you can look forward to. More details coming in November.

Probably best to keep your expectations low and if you are lucky you might be pleasantly surprised.
May be it’s the free subscription to The Australian being extended to all Amex cardholders?!

month old plat charge here. do I have to do anything specific to receive travel / dining offers?

I haven't got a single travel or dining offer. All I see are the retail ones.

Correct. Which means they give time until the offers ends to spend the full $300. If you end up spending less the credit will apply after the offer ends.
Gday

Lunch was over $300 and the email came through straight away saying the offer had been redeemed. The credit hasn't been applied yet but it does say it is usually applied within 5 days but can take 90 days.

Who said there is no such thing as a free lunch!

Pele.

Just used my Edge TC at Hardly Normal as needed new Airpods - had to top my credit up. Hope this initiative continues post COVID as I'm sure can continue to use the credits more easily for technology purchases than travel. Prefer to book travel on my own terms including using my preferred suppliers. Kudos to Amex for this enhancement - I hope it continues ... just my 2 cents worth.

BTW: I don't work for Amex or have any affiliation other than being a customer like everyone else on AFF but wanted to share my experience.

Presumably as part of Membership Month, a Ticketmaster 'spend $300 get $75' offer has shown up on all my primaries and supps with an expiry of 30/11.

This Hilton has been around since 17.9.21 Hope its not part of November Member Month - unless its is extended beyond 31/12/21!
Last night booked a Qantas Ticket - got a trigger email Spend 250 Get 40, but also got a 450 travel Credit trigger even though Ive already used my travel credit and purchased on QF website Whats up?

OMG - just check on the webpage, underwhelming is such an understatement! 😔

I'm reserving judgement until we're further into the month, I suspect there is more on the way. Amex were promoting some big brands (Amazon, JB, etc) who we haven't yet seen anything from.
