New Amex statement credits

Does anyone on here happen to know if it is $299 in a single transaction or in one or more? Offer terms seem to indicate the latter, but wasn't sure how that works given the offer credit applies twice?

Unless a total spend of $598 triggers $120 back?

T&C say in one or more transactions, up to 2 times.

Meaning you can reach $299 making few orders.
You can also make two orders of $299 or more and get cashback twice ($120) but if you will spend $598 all in one order the cashback will be just $60.

Every Amex offer I've experienced kicks in with accumulated spend. Having said that I've never triggered two in one hit so on that I'm not so sure
Thanks andye, informative - actually want to make 3 x $200 to trigger the $120. So the accumulated spend is useful.

And I shall view it conservatively - if my first offer was triggered after spending a total of one ver $299, say $350, I’ll assume I will have to spend at least another $299 to trigger the second credit, rather than $299 less $51 on the “overspend” before

I tried to clarify this with Amex chat as well - does 3x $200 = 2x $60 credit or would it have to be 4x $200 (i.e. does the coughulative spend reset once the credit has triggered). Unfortunately, again they didn't seem to have a clue and just told me to follow the detailed term conditions.

I believe your assumption is correct.

In addition to the above offers out today, I also received a 10,000 bonus points offer. Just need to spend $10k between now and end of Dec.
Damn. Nothing on my Plat Charge or Reserve. What card was that on? Was it sent to you as an email or appeared in offers in your account?

I've never met STAN. And I hope that I never do. But I will WISH upon a star tonight.

Thanks for the info.
FYI, if taking advantage of the Ampol AMEX offer, be aware that when I purchased Ampol Cash gift cards these were 5% off today. This didn't occur for me yesterday, so no idea how long this extra discount at the register is available for.

Stacking an offer without realising it. How good is that?

I received this on my Accelerator. Effectively its 7500 points for me as I would be diverting spend on my Charge. Should be doable though

Referral bonus seems to have increased for me. Now 50,000pts.

Also, did anyone else receive 2x Ampol offers? I received 2 emails 1 minute apart. Both addressed to the same card number.
1x Spend $60 for $10 back
1x Spend $70 for $10 back

Obviously registered both.

I did across all 4 primaries. Will be interesting to see how they credit

It's up to 50k for the referrer on the QF Ultimate Amex but unfortunately the bonus for the referee is only 65k, I can't in all good conscience suggest a friend to apply for it when it was very recently 110k + $200 cashback!

Spend $60 or more, get $10 back
Ampol

Didn't get it this time....only got it a couple of months ago
Interestingly I got the offer on my main Explorer card only today...expires at the end of the year which is good as I'm trying to make use of the BPme offer curently to offset high fuel prices atm!

I'm in SYD based in Eastern suburbs. Last time, I had to let the AMPOL offer expire as none of the AMPOL service stations I visited or called had any GCs - some even said they'd been been withdrawn from sale. The only one that had some was Crows Nest which was just outside my 5Km zone and I didn't want to risk a fine for such a small gain.

I've registered for the offer again this time. Assuming some members are from SYD. Can you please give me a rough idea of where you are and which Service Stations have had stock of GCs? Do the Woolworths Caltex count? I think they do and conveniently, none of them had any stock last time.

Only got it on the one card. Last Ampol offer I had to follow-up with Amex as the credit did not post automatically. Not sure How I would go about complaining that only one or neither of my credits posted on the one purchase.

I will check this out once the BP offer has finished unless Dr Ralph can confirm the unadvertised additional 5% discount on the GCs is still running.

If there is a 5% discount, I will buy a $500 GC or two.....will check at my local tonight :)

You obviously don;t get the benefit of the Amex offer but Shopback are currently selling Ampol GCs for 6% off. Head over here if you are not a Shopback member. :)

Can confirm the Ampol GCs attract a 5% discount....not advertised and not sure how long for. If bought via Shopback (as above) for 6% discount, can only pay via Visa /MC. Can pay via Amex at Ampol station. I prefer physical cards over eGC if bought via Shopback. Highest denomination is $500 but the Ampol station I visited only had $100s and $50s. Ampol Chatswood had none but Ampol Lane Cove had them but had to ask cashier for them. FYi 😀

PS How do you check balance of Ampol GCs?
