New Amex statement credits

Thanks for the heads-up. Until 30th September from what I see. Will help to get me over the next 5000 AAdvantage bonus miles for laundering MR -> Bonvoy -> AAdvantage, which has been not-so-great laundering rate for a while. The 50% bonus should bring the transfer from MR -> Bonvoy from 3:2 to 1:1. Better set a reminder to make the transfer out just before the end of September.
Might be a good time to top up my AA account. So I should TF 60K Amex points to Bonvoy netting 60K Bonvoy points (by 30th Sep) which equates to 20k + 5K = 25K AA miles...is my maths correct? :)

Marriott Bonvoy™

30,000 Marriott Bonvoy points = 10,000 AAdvantage® miles

60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points = 20,000 AAdvantage® miles

90,000 Marriott Bonvoy points = 30,000 AAdvantage® miles

For every 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points converted within the same transaction, you'll earn an additional 5,000 bonus AAdvantage® miles.

Sounds right to me.

I was referring to transferring points from Amex>Marriott>AA or Alaska.
One other thing is Marriott offer a bonus from transfers to Alaska of 5k bonus miles for every 60k miles transferred. Not sure if this applies to other airlines also.
Similar for transfers MR -> Marriott -> AAdvantage, where the Marriott -> AAdvantage receives 5K bonus for every 20K AA miles received.

So normally, that would be:

90,000 MR points becomes 60,000 Bonvoy points, which becomes 25,000 AA Miles (20K + 5K Bonus) or lander rate of 3.6MR = 1 AA Mile

With current bonus, it becomes:

60,000 MR points becomes 60,000 Bonvoy points, which becomes 25,000 AA Miles (20K + 5K Bonus) or a launder rate of 2.4MR = 1 AA Mile

Indeed. Multiples of 20K AA Miles are most efficient. If you don't end up with an exact multiple of 60K in Bonvoy, they can stay there until you top up later. The 5K bonus on 20K transfers to AA has been around for several years and does not expire 30th September. Its only the MR-Marriott bonus promotion that ends then.

Oz to Europe business for 85K points vs double that on QF and much lower carrier charges on AA, my answer to that question is hell yes!!
Yes like first to Tel Aviv - ADL-PER QF C PER-DOH-AMM QR F with AL Safwa Lounge AMM-TLV RJ C for 115 K AA Points + around US$120 cf QF sor same about 400 K and about AUD$500 taxes Its a noooo brainer

Been doing AA tranfers for years Much more Preis-bewusst aka economical than QFF

Wish Amex AU would make it easy and make AA or other US airlines a transfer partner.
Yes remeber many many moons ago United was a Diners Club partner, and Ansett Global Rewards partner - then cam british 50% owned Qantas aka Aussue Airlines and uk owned Virgin OZ/Blue ....

I see there's another round of 5k points for adding a supp card in the members month.

I am all familied out from previous offers unfortunately. I don't have the chutzpah to start with the family pets.

Similar situation but I suspect you could remove supps then add later. Given these cards go largely unused probably worth a try.

Has there been a better rate than this in recent times? 2.4MR = 1 AA Mile
Thinking of sending more Amex points to Bonvoy to AA during this promo if this is the best rate in a while....

This is the best I have seen since the great laundry devaluation a few years back. Last bonus was 30% from Amex to Marriott. This one is 50% bonus. I doubt it will get any better than this bonus offer. I'll be emptying my Amex MR account into Bonvoy at the end of September. Might not move all through to AAdvantage just yet as they do hold options while remaining in Bonvoy for other usage.

AA was a direct Diners partner up until about 6 years ago I think. SPG also at a decent rate. The dual DC/MC combo was a hidden gem then

AMEX Travel
400 / 100 on some cards
500 / 150 on Plat charge
Works on hotels and car hire only (can't use on flights).
Potentially good offer thanks. I had it on Charge and Accelerator primary and supps
