New Amex statement credits

Just found this Dell perk on the Amex QBR card. A new offer seemingly only for QBR cardmembers.

Same here spent >$100 this afternoon, didnt get an email and a couple of hours later got x2 emails from x2 Amex cards informing me the offer expires soon, including the card I'd used for the spend
Just picked the drinks up and then got a trigger email for the First Choice Cashback now the 2000 flybuys points need to show up

I've got this for this month

Get 1 Membership Rewards Bonus Point per $1 spent, up to 10,000 Bonus Points.
Anniversary Month With American Express

Biz Explorer card

I guess the new form of retention bonus?
Was that in the app or website?

I got a 25k offer but it was spend $25k over 3 mths. I think I’m in my last month.

My experience with Special Gift Cards:

My initial order has been canceled. Sent a sharp please explain email to customer service and to my surprise they answered strait away apologising for the misunderstanding. Their excuse was that my email was last used for e-commerce two years ago hence it was flagged. This is completely false but they did apologise and promised to fix it so I didn’t argue further. I was able to purchase again using few different cards with no further issues. All orders tracked immediately with Amex.

Several new offers today, some of which are actually useful;

Webjet - 500 / 75
Lotte Duty Free - 500 / 100
Klook - 150 / 20
Dreamworld - 50 / 10
Adina 300 / 50
View Hotels - 300 / 60
Adore Beauty 100 / 20
The Yacht Life - 15% back up to 750
Liquorland - 100 / 10
Placie - 30 / 30

LL of course means Coles-Myer GCs

Tried to go into vintage cellars one day and they said they ran out of GCs. Must be one of those unlucky days I hope.

Any thing I should know about Webjet gift cards before spending up big on htis offer?

Can’t use for car hire, and webjet fees apply. If spending big fees not an issue though as once/booking.
But no fees for booking hotels?

Do you know if there is a limit to the number of GCs you can use in a booking?
This was one of the first things I checked. Seems the answer is 30.

'Up to 30 gift Cards can be redeemed at the time of booking.'

Had some Webjet GCs to burn so I decided to use it even though it's usually expensive than booking direct. Heard that cancellations can sometimes be a nightmare tho. At least using the GC is quite straightforward.

as per @maccaisking post above, their use and usefulness is pretty limited. You'd never use them on flights due to webjet fees and they can't be used for cars.

I buy these for hotels for when I travel for work, which is usually to regional areas. The prices of my last two hotels were competitive. Might be different for the bigger chains where it would probably be cheaper to book direct or if you need to book direct for status benefits.

No hotel fees in my experience, but range isn’t as extensive as Expedia, etc. It’s reasonable, but not exhaustive.

Flight booking fees can be beaten by the discount depending on spend and if you use the cards in one go.

I have used 30 cards of mixed values on a booking to USA which was cancelled
due to covid, refund was on one big voucher which I’ve chipped away at over the last couple of years.
