New Amex statement credits

Can anyone confirm if purchasing giftcards from woolworths.com.au is possible and, if so, it triggers the amex credit? (current offer spend $100 get $20 credit)

Read earlier comments and I'm sure you'll find that it was stated that it didn't trigger the credit from AMEX.

edit: just saw question relates to physical wish cards.

On the previous page, post #993 I indicated it does not work for ecards. Most agree, but post #995 burmans suggests it did for him.

I'm wondering if burmans was referring to 3pts/$ earning for Amex issued cards.....???

The statement credit worked form me buying a Dan Murphy's egift card online, with the Plat Edge it also paid at 3 points per $1. This was the $15 for $80 spend at DM not the $20 for $100 spent at Woolworths.

I got the Amex statement credit for the $80 gift card purchase at DM

Yes, that one worked for everyone. What hasn't worked is buying a gift card from Woolworths online in the spend $100, receive $20 promotion because the Wollworths online web site redirects you to Everydaygiftcards.com.au for a gift card purchase.

I made two identical shops for $100.27 at Woolies online the other day and received both emails from Amex confirming the spend and credit. Subsequently, Woolies have refunded me $3.85 for an out of stock item.... Any experience of the credit not landing after having received the confirmation email due to a refund taking you back under the minimum spend?

Answering my own question.... both credits received, despite the refund from Woolies for out of stock items. I guess the initial charge of over $100 triggered the credit and Amex have no way of knowing that a refund I received is anything to do with the shop I just completed.
