New Amex statement credits

Flicking through the previous pages of this thread, I note that it has been mentioned that purchases from DM online will pay 3pts/$ on the Plat Edge.

Can anybody confirm from recent experience that this is the case?

It did for me last week when I redeemed the statement credit (though I usually use an eGift)

Thanks. Looking at the current DM online offer and purchasing an $80 eGift to use at WW, as per the above discussion.

Are there any other places that pay 3pts/$ on Plat Edge which are not specifically listed on the Amex website?

I got 2.81 points per dollar on the DM gift card purchase on my Plat Edge (1 point per dollar on Charge and Reserve) so I got 225 points for the $80 spend... weird

The "sometimes it works" is a concern if buying a Dan Murphy's e-gift card. Wouldn't it work 100% of the time if it works once?

Using the egc at a WoW group store other than name of issue - so Big W egc at WoW. Worked when I used it by mistake at one Wow store (wrong side of card) but did not work at a different WoW store when I thought I try on purpose.

Not 3pts/$ but last week I used the DM eGift card at Masters but then had a small amount extra to pay which came back at 2pts/$ which was an unexpected bonus.

Hi guys, new to Amex as I just activated my first card. I can't see any offers in the offers tab within my account. How frequently do offers appear or is there another way I can find and activate them?

My guess is I wait till Amex emails me notifying there's a new offer available for my card.

The DM online offer particularly interests me.

If the offers don't appear use the manual links available to register.

It may take some time before you get offers, as they may target you based on spending.

You will usually hear about offers here quite quickly. Most of them are available on the amexconnect site. Fewer are targetted

Thanks all for the prompt replies! I have subscribed to this thread and will post any offers I receive if not already posted here.

I can confirm the 3pts/$ earn on the Edge at DM online after purchasing an $80 eGift card.

Yes - They have also fixed the WOW Gift Card Merchant ID.

5% discount and 3 points per dollar is a winner.

Both also worked for me this weekend, 3pts for DM and WoW eCards + 5% disc for the WoW ecard.
Alas the WoW ecard purchase did not trigger the amex cashback, but you gotta try right? ;)
There's always the pricepal cashback as sweetener for the DM ecard.
Pity pricepal have reduced the referral to $5.

Damn it. I used a similar Staples offer last year for ink cartridges but have recently reordered so no need for anymore. I managed to double stack an HP cash back offer with a Staples 'spend and save' code which resulted in nearly half price cartridges. Triple stacking that with the Amex offer would have been the icing on the cake.

I think there is an aquire points offer that could stack with staples

I had forgotten about the Aquire link, but I am already set up for that. When I first registered with Staples I set up a personal account and had to get them to delete it so I could set up a business account and enter my ABN, etc.
