New Amex statement credits

I went for 2 bottles of Laurent Perrier Rose (huge brownie points with Mrs_O for these) plus topped up my Wynns Coonawarra Black Label Shiraz for a total spend of $307.50. Very happy with that.

Decided against doing the Vintec spend at Langtons as I couldn't find enough wines that piqued my interest at a price I was prepared to pay.

I have the Langtons offer too. Notice they have Wynns V&A Lane Shiraz 2012 for $38, so $19 after cashback. Not sure why the 2012 is much cheaper than the 2013 and 2014.

Loving this Langton's offer. One order of $300 and one order of $302. Dom Perignon is coming...

Have the langtons offer.. don't drink wine.

Thinking I should take it up otherwise I'm not getting value!

If I had 2 cards with Langton's offer on both, could I use both cards and get credit back on both cards?

Yes, and with in store offers, you can split one purchase across multiple cards (subject to staff agreement) to get best value. I did this recently in Rebel (4 cards) and UMart (2 cards).

Taking advantage of the ability to mix and match to pick up a few different things at half price:

Total of $301.00 and got the email from Amex straight away.

Does anyone know if Langtons offer is available to Bank issued cards? Is there a link to sign up?

Well, I've now put 0.1% of the Langtons offer to good use, assuming they really do limit it to 5,000 cards. With that and the Cellarmasters offer, it's been a decent month or so.

Never had Dom before so looking forward

Got a $100 GC at rebel split over 2 cards. Email received straight away.

I bought $100 of gear from them recently, spread over two cards to get the statement credits. It was like pulling teeth to get a price beat. First they said they'd be happy to. Then they did it as a price match as that was the new store policy. I had to show them an email from head Office a day earlier about the 'beat by 10%' part. Price adjusted grudgingly. Then the shirt I bought was rung up at twice the price quoted online. They said they don't match online prices (!?) and said I should have bought it online. I then told them I tried that but online stock was out and it directed to me to buy the item at the store. Price adjusted grudgingly.

I walked out thinking that this lot will go the way of Dick Smiths pretty soon. There's nothing in that store that I couldn't have bought without leaving the house.....except gift cards :-)

I think their are a few retailers in trouble. SCA might be one.

I generally wait till they have a 20% sale and use the discounted GC.
