New Amex statement credits

Can you use QFF vouchers to book flights that involve a Cathay or Emirates segment?
Yes as long as the segment is valid for the routing you choose.

SYD-BKK is generally ok to offer EK flight but BNE-SYD-BKK may not offer the EK flight.

Regarding the three Qantas bookings, please keep in mind that if you tick the Qantas Carbon Offset, it results in a separate charge to your card.

So if you only have two flights during the promotion period, you should do the carbon offset once and you will get your 20% back. If you have three bookings, then don't do it.

Perfect timing for the QF offer. Just booked 4 flights and have a need to book another couple of dozen ... I received the email (QF Ult card) and registered however, I can't find a way to register the other Amex cards we've got. This offer is targeted - isn't it ?

If you have just one flight, so a flight voucher, the flight and carbon offset?

The offer is only for some AMEX issued cards, other bank cards linked to AMEX connect don't participate.

You couldn't script this any better if you tried.

Had the Qantas offer on my card so tonight I spend

$1000
$180.02
$180.02

Go to my Amex statement to check pending transactions and notice 3 transactions

$46.00
$32.01
$38.00

and realised that earlier tonight I called about 3 bookings I did on 01 September and they have just been processed before I did purchases for today. For a laugh I go to my email and see that Amex is going to refund $23.20 for achieving the 3 Qantas spend online.

How easy is it going to be to convince Amex the 3 small transactions above are for 01 September and not today?

The DM offer is now available on Amexconnect.com.au but I was only able to register my NAB Amex and not my direct Amex cards (error when using link). Hopefully it will appear in the app over the next few hours.

I got an error the first time, tried again and eventually managed to sign all my cards (direct AMEX and bank issued) using the link.

Now the question (as usual), will the system be smart enough to detect gift card purchases...

Some other new Amex offers today;

Scoopon 50/15
Urban Purveyor Group (some restaurants) - 50/10
Blue Illusion (no idea) - 80/20

DM gift cards worked perfectly in the offers in February and March this year - cashrewards even paid out cashback on some of my transactions.

Well I got the usual email "Thank you for spending..." so looks good. Extra 7% cashback will be nice bonus.
