New Amex statement credits

Gave the Mimco offer a nudge with a few of the sale items. Couple of early Christmas presents for $131.10 seems like a decent idea.

Myer online - spend 160/40 - wonder if gift cards are an option?

Got this on my AMEX issued cards only.

Gift card can certainly be ordered online from myer.com.au for the exact $160 amount.

It's a separate question, though, about whether you get the $40 cash back.

The MH is pretty awesome. Just had friends fly J Kuk-Syd and they loved. Said the service and food were amazing. They flew over in Y and said it was the best Y they have ever flown too. They are already planning their next trip and will exit Aust on MH. Already offered my cc to pay for it. :)

Apparently its under a different domain so not sure if the gift card qualifies. Is anyone going to take the plunge?

I checked back through my records and it seems in Aug 2014 there was an Amex offer with Myer - I bought gift cards and received NO credit - the invoice was from Myergiftcards.com. My SWMBO ordered some cosmetics online and received $50 credit - invoice was from Myer.

You have been warned!

I received the QF offer on my Reserve only and the MH offer on the Charge only. No airline love for the Edge or NAB Velocity Amex. Almost made a redemption booking last night so the $50 off the ludicrously high QF surcharges is a saving at least.

A new QF offer has popped up on the Edge this morning which is a bit complicated but could be good value.

QF - Spend three times and get 20% back, up to a $200 rebate.

Note that it appears if you spend twice you get nothing back at all. So it looks like I will have to buy two $300 and one $400 gift vouchers to get the full $200 rebate (and completely offset my next annual fee of $149 for my PA Edge in January).

I've got this offer on my Plat Charge, which is better for points earn :).

Not sure if I can commit to $1000 of vouchers though.....

Can you use QFF vouchers to book flights that involve a Cathay or Emirates segment?

Unclear from the T&C -
