I'll definitely be using this, Winestar are one of my go to vendors. But have to spend time looking at the site to make some decisions.

I have never bought from Winestar before - I would assume that postage would count towards the $150 spend? Is it possible to use multiple cards at check out?

It would count. But postage is often free from Winestar. They have minimal thresholds to meet.

I've bought a LOT from them over the past 5 years.

Nope - but I haven't tried over the phone. I tried asking them by email 3x last time a similar offer was around, they avoided the question each time. So I assume it is possible they just don't want to do it.

Free shipping on dozens, which is I guess why some are interested in the idea of splitting payments! I too have bought a lot from this outfit over the years, they have very keen pricing on their specials. May be worth getting on their email list if you are planning to use this offer (at least temporarily).

Sitting at home still trying to formulate a dastardly plan to get value out of these 'Winestar' vouchers - don't spose it would be as simple as buying 1 X $100 and 1 X $50 Gift Vouchers on each card would it? Does buying Gift Vouchers qualify as a 'spend'? Can multiple Gift Vouchers be used on purchases?

For those who are thinking about trying Ingogo to use the current $15 statement credit offer, if you use the promo code NJPY5 when signing up in the app you will also get $10 off your first two trips as well.

I tried the service on the weekend and the fixed fares offered are right at the upper end of what you would expect to pay (even once the credit card surcharges are taken into account). It should be noted that you are unable to change or cancel a booking within one hour of pickup or you will be slugged a $10 fee.

Overall, once I take my third trip to get the statement credit, I do not think I will use Ingogo again as booking a taxi direct would most likely be the same cost or cheaper with less cancellation risks. An exception may be if I expect heavy traffic.

The $10/$20 penalty for less than a dozen reduces the incentive to improvise something to take advantage of this deal. With the gift voucher situation, I don't think Amex can tell what's been purchased unless they've done a voucher retrieval/inquiry with the merchant so you could theoretically buy a $150 voucher, get the $50 credit and blow $150 on another card in conjunction with the $150 voucher bought?
