Card Promotions New ANZ Frequent Flyer Black 110,000 points & $100 back

This is unfortunate. My ANZ 12 month lockout period ends next week, and I was hoping this deal would still be around 😥
 
Datapoint: Second statement arrived today, showing the following regarding QFF points:

So very happy to see the 160K split into two there.

And already showing in QFF:

and very happy to see it as three separate transactions, meaning Point Club sees all the points. New QFF year started 1st October, and already half way to renewing PC+ :). Timing worked out well for me.

Very glad - In the past I've had multiple transactions from one source (amex) on the same day being capped as if they were one transaction.
 
Just to follow up on my concerns about receiving the 160k. They are now showing in my ANZ account and the $225 has been credited also. For reference I am on my 2nd billing period having received my initial statement just over a week ago.

I have the ANZ app which indicates it's available but only 110,000 bonus points (with $5,000 minimum spend in 3 months from date of approval). I'm contemplating whether it's still worth it. You do still get $255 back
 
Ive gone past my second billing cycle without cash back or points (After initially missing first month due to council rates not being included). I spoke to ANZ who said wait up to 3 months. Obviously something has not triggered the event.. Any ideas?

Suggest ANZ incompetence triggered it not to work.

That is quite unfair.

It’s normally triggered after the full month 1 spend and given on/just after the 2nd statement. Presumably with the council rates not triggerering it in month 1 then you can’t expect points/cashback given on/just after the 2nd statement. Now more has been spent(?) and it’s triggered on statement 2, a reasonable expectation is on/just after statement 3.

What exactly does this clause mean? Is that a "you can only get the signup bonus once for the lifetime of the QFF member"?

Or does it simply mean I can only hold one of these cards at a time?


I had this card/product over a year ago and cancelled after I met the min spend.

Going to do it again, unless this means I'm excluded from the bonus points because I previously had this card? Even after the 12 month wait.

2. Offer available to new and approved applicants who apply for an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card Account. This is a limited-time only offer that may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice. Not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions or when transferring from an existing ANZ credit card. Offer not available where you currently hold an ANZ Frequent Flyer, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum or ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card, or have closed, or qualified for bonus Qantas Points or a credit back on, any of those ANZ Frequent Flyer credit cards within the previous 12 months. Your application must be approved and you must activate the card and make $5,000 worth of eligible purchases within three months of approval to receive the 110,000 bonus Qantas Points and have the $255 credited to your Credit Card Account. The date of approval of an application is the disclosure date specified in your Letter of Offer. Eligible purchases means purchases which are eligible to earn Qantas Points. Certain transactions and other items are not eligible to earn Qantas Points. For details refer to the ANZ Frequent Flyer Reward Terms and Conditions (PDF 122kB). The 110,000 bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas account and the $255 will be credited to your Credit Card Account within three months of the eligible spend criteria being met. The $255 credit will be applied to the purchases balance and does not constitute a payment under your contract with ANZ. If you transfer or cancel your new ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card Account before the $255 credit and 110,000 bonus Qantas Points are processed to your account, you may become ineligible for this offer. I am not a lawyer but I would read it as this specific offer can be accessed only once per member regardless of any previous offers that the member may have taken up and does not disqualify the member from taking up any different offers in the future.

Used to have that issue myself til I figured out that the bank recorded my name in the wrong format. Even though I had given my QFF number in the card application, it was recorded incorrectly.

So for example a Mr John Smith is on their system as SMITH, J or J SMITH. Cos the system needs to have the exact format to go over to QFF for payment of the points, that's why it always took forever.

Since then, I've called the bank (or online chat), and made sure that they read back to me the correct name and QFF number. Haven't had any delays since and it's been a couple of years now of churning.
 
How recent are you wanting to know? I applied and obtained it about 6 months ago, along with 160K points (as was the offer at the time).
I mean with in last month. I just applied for this card last week. Just wanted to know what the average decision time is !!

PAYG only…..quick. Add anything else…..weeks. Eg pension+salary, +salary sacrifice, shares/trusts etc.

Unfortunately not. None of the Qantas Lounge passes to my knowledge include guest access. Of course, you can use two passes to bring in a guest as well.
 
I posted this in the newbie thread but just found this forum here so thought i'd post my question again:

So I received a letter in the mail saying my QFF number wasn't linked to my ANZ QFF black card. However, I did give the ANZ agent my number when I activated the card and I can see my number in the Rewards section of my internet banking.

This should be okay, right? It's my first Qantas card/account and i'm using it to churn the 110k bonus points. Can't wait to close it!

I have tried to call ANZ but it's truly impossible to contact them (the number I was told to call says "due to unforeseen events we cant take your call right now", another you're on hold forever, another incorrect department which I called on purpose transferred me - only for it to disconnect).

Also one last question - should my name appear on the Rewards section of ANZ above my QFF number as 'J Smith' or as 'John Smith'? Mine only has the initial.
