New Changes to Citi Cards

I transferred all my Citi points to QF today and will cash in on the QF points bonus (15% IIRC).

I note they've now reissued the Signature as a Visa Infinite which earns Citi higher merchant fees yet they offer far fewer points to the customer. I won't be activating. It's all a big scam.

Thinking of getting a St George Amplify Signature Credit Card to supplement my Amex card where Amex is not accepted.

Citi Signature card now is $1 = .75 SQ points for local and overseas spend (fee free)

St George Amplify is $1= .75 SQ points for local spend (which becomes .825 on your birthday for past transactions) and 1.5 SQ points for overseas spend (which becomes 1.65 on your birthday for past transactions) $279 Annual fee

The $700 fee of the Prestige puts me off that. Decisions, decisions.

Is the higher rate only on your birthday?

Nope its for the all the previous year or par there of leading to your birthday which you get every year. Think of it as an extra 10% points on the total amount of points you earned over the past year received on your birthday.

How you checked whether you would get value out of the other prestige benefits, or are you looking at points only?
