I just updated my phone to the new ios9.2 and all the pictures in various posts are too big. I.e. I only see half of them if I hold the phone in portrait view. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes. My workaround to re-size is clicking on the pictures individually.

Nothing worse than finding you are re-reading your own posts!!

Especially when you disagree with what you are reading then realise it was your own post!

On the reasons I subscribed was to see the pictures of people trip reports.

I somehow ended up updating the Android app. I can't say I like much about the new app...

Why do we need advertising on the top AND bottom of the screen? Scrolling up and down seems to take forever, and the text size cannot be made smaller. All combines to a serious waste of screen estate..

Is there any way of eturning to the old app? Might have to sideload the apk..

Gold members don't get any Ads.
I've been a Gold member since 2010 I think and it's definitely the best way to access the site.

Yes I didn't have ads on the old app, I'm not sure what level of membership I am at the moment.

But I have no issue with the ads, a lot of other apps I use also have ads, but does it need to be top *and* bottom of screen? It's quite off putting to lose so much of the screen.

You need to clear the app from memory and then reload it. Seems the logical approach, does it not?

Ok, so downloaded the latest version today from the Playstore.

So far it seems:

1. Subscribed list works, loading straight away.
2. Dropped me back at George W's presidential library in Drron's odyssey, so back about 3 days, and before some of my own posts in that TR.
3. Messages appears on the menu, not that I really get any.
4. Logs straight in, doesn't drop out the first time and login the second times as it has been doing.

I would describe it as better, but still a work in progress with the main issue for me being the lack of synchronisation between devices in terms of how far I have read when I switch from PC or laptop to Phone.

Me too it really pi33es me off especially on the threads with pictures loading. ( takes time to load) It won't start on the last post. I personally like going backwards( reading from the very last post meaning most recent post) . Sometimes it starts me on the very first post that I have already read a thousand times.

Likes are not registered sometimes necessitating other tactics to make it work.

When quoting a reply the quote is missing most times. Have then to re-quote.

When posting a reply my last words are usually chopped off. However unable to remedy this by editing the post.

Crashes yes many times even in the middle of writing so that's frustrating.

( I use iOS app on an iPhone 6 Plus)

Ah also unable to edit a post even shortly after due to some log on error ( so frustrating cannot correct those fat finger auto correct mistakes)
