Did anyone receive the bonus points or status credits already after hitting the minimum spend? I hit it this weekend and got the opening bonus points from AMEX but no sign of the additional bonus yet.

Did the bonus ever come through for you @bellroy26 (and if so how long after the points hit your account)? Mrs MattA opened the AMEX Velocity Plat card within the offer period, hit the bonus spend requirement in the first month and points have just posted today but no additional VFF bonus yet.

My first statement arrived and it showed bonus earned 30k. However, for some reason Virgin Money stuffed up my Velocity details in their back-end system, and therefore those earned points will only be credited in the next statement cycle. I would have upgraded from Gold to Platinum had I received this 200 status credit in this current statement cycle, but this stuffed up delay would make me lose the opportunity to be upgraded due to expired status credits. Anyone has any idea how I can get some resolution from Virgin Money or Velocity?

Mine were posted two days after I met the minimum spend but that was also the same date as my statement was issued so not sure which event actually triggered it.

Met minimum spend about a week ago and statement cycle is 19th of the month. Bonus points have not posted yet so I guess/hope they will when statement issues.

An update on this - Velocity has denied me the bonus SCs because I was only approved for the card during the promo period, and I needed to have applied and been approved during the promo period. Tried to argue the case in online chat, got told definitively 'no'.

Don't know why I have never had such an easy application. I applied for this card on the 14th. Completed the application on 17th when I got all the supporting docs. Well, after telling them what colour socks I was wearing on each day of the week, explaining that on one day I was wearing different coloured socks so for that day I also had to give them the colour of my underwear. Then things got complicated cos that day I wasn't wearing any........ Anyway, to cut a long story short I am still waiting and now they also want my last two year's tax returns even though they also have a letter from my employer. I think I'll just tell them to forget the application

This was a no-brainer for me. Applied this afternoon, uploaded docs straight away, approved 3hrs later. Easy!
