New Qantas Uniform

Hey, I like them. Looks good.

The hat and overcoat are obvious accessories for the middle east.

But they are made of wool! In the Seoul Olympics, in the opening ceremony, the Aussies wore a Gold drizabone. It wasn't all that hot in Seoul, but those drizabones were a killer.

Love the new uniform its very modern, chic and classy. Very black and very Melbourne, would expect nothing less from a Melbourne boy who designed them. Well done!!!

I would like to know who will be wearing the dress with the pink sleeve and pink scarfe? Ground staff or CSMs?
Pink = Staff
QF Red = Supervisors
Ruby Red = Managers

I believe that's what was mentioned (check the PDF that's referenced in here somewhere, I believe that has a list).

Looks edgy, I like it. Though on the website release, the asian female wearing the pink/red/black looks a bit like she's just come out of Star Trek casting.

The scarf still has me thinking of VA though, it doesn't seem bad, I would like to see it in person/ crew working in the uniforms.

I don't like the pink, what's the significance? I am at a loss why pink...?

I like it but...it would not fit me at all and I do not think it will look great on staff who are not willow thin (read a little bigger around the hips).
Are there trousers for women - I had a quick look but did not see them. I like trousers!

Ah! Sort of like Daleks. Different coloured bits to show rank.

Overall the whole range looks just too "I'm a fashion designer and I want to get noticed." If the staff find the new rags comfortable and functional, then great; but otherwise they look like something out of the Red Army to me.

So early 2014 it will be worn.

But I want to see it now! :p

The Louboutins were just for the show today, they are not part of the regular uniform. I'm sure I hear wailing about this ... (unless staff are expected to buy their own shoes, which I think they are?)

Fab pic of the famous red soles from the Qantas Facebook page

I thought the red soles was actually very fitting with the uniform, not that you often see the soles of staffs' shoes, but would be good if that was an element of the uniform. They really work well!

So, extrapolating that out I'm thinking we will see AJ in Fire Engine Red?

EH

I recall he said something at the launch, that it wouldn't look as good on him, or looked better on them, there was a line, I just forget the exact wording :p

What company let alone airline has no regulation shoes but would prescribe regulation underwear? :o

Colour of underwear has been specified in various corporate policies for a long time (although not sure if still allowed under discrimination type rules). And don't you recall when Virgin Blue got in trouble by the union for *allegedly* specifying the type of undies that FAs were to wear? (Virgin Blue did deny this though)

Well, I guess they could specify that men and women must wear pink undies to get over any discrimination issues.

I like that style of dress. And I like Pink. :)
