New routes floated to ATH, SEA, ORD and LAS

original YVR winter service
YVR, CDG, ROM, SIN, SFO FRA are/were hubs for other airlines which do not have a significant codeshare arrangements with QF. Can also add in LHR to be honest. But QF is not necessarily competing with these airlines for hub traffic but rather as a destination.

Yes SLC, DEN would be seasonal winter destinations. While DL and UA could also operate the same route, they would do it at the expense of their other hub (in this case LAX or SFO)

Still reckon QF won't ever have the luxury of aircraft to do things like this. Can offer one stop via LAX or SFO. Ski demand can be high, but it's leisure. At least YVR has other demand factors(and clearly enough to make it year round too) - DEN, SLC etc are far smaller markets, and again mostly leisure IMO.

I'm going to be ridiculously generous here and say in five years QF won't be flying to all the destinations listed in the article. Game to take that bet?
Yes. I wouldn’t bet on guaranteeing those exact cities being served, but I absolutely expect a net increase of at least 4 new QF international destinations in five years time. Absolutely.

Unlikely, but I would expect the capacity between SFO, YVR and SEA (when it happens) will be optimised based on historical and future booking demands).
