Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

I don't understand the '0 posts' against that post, (especially in light of the second post) but if its a first, I can't think of a better subject than a 2008 Basket Case (well, except for 2001, or anything starting with 19)

I've been MIA on this thread in the last couple of nights - reason is haven't had a (new) red to drink. I won't let that continue, so tonight after I get home from celebrating my daughters' 8th birthday, I'll get the kids in bed and crack a bottle to celebrate :D May even get a photo of my Riedel glass full this time :p

We had this last night at a steak restaurant. It was full of flavour and really easy to drink

Just loverly Kumeu River Coddington 2010 tonight. Beautiful colour and nose. Quite rich with refined oak and malo. Yum. (From DMs).

One of my closest friends that you met recently has BP going back to 199x. I offered to buy every bottle at $100 each and willing to take my chances they have not corked. Sadly my offer was rejected. :( Would have made an exceptional vertical tasting.
Looks like I'll just have to visit him more often. :D

I believe most of you already know my dear old friend Dan. He sent me this today, and I couldn't help myself. As noted in the DM thread, the rest of the order needs a good lie down.
