Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Current release Bin 28 and BBQ accoutrements. Very drinkable for a young wine. Quite well rounded silky tannins. Yum.

Agree with a few others that the steak is a bit too blue for my liking!

Pretty sure a mate brought a bottle of bin 28 to my place for a bbq not long ago - neither of us were impressed. Too young and tannic. I generally find Penfolds Reds need a few years age for my liking.

Normally agree for Bin 28, a few years and it's simple wonderful.. This new 2012 however is far more approachable than earlier vintages.

RE: Penfolds Bin 28 2012, I had a couple of bottles recently and it drunk quite well both in the air and on the ground.

Could do with some age, but very solid wine.

NB: my meat was slightly more cooked than TheRealTMA's very rare steak.

Try East End Cellars (Adelaide) or the Australian Wine Centre.

Riesling menu looks fantastic! Shame I'm not in Brisbane! Era seem to do some really great wine events, including a Mountadam event in September last year, at significantly lower cost than similar events in Melbourne. Era foods looks good too!

Can't find the Pinot Noir one on their website.

Go to the ShawandSmith website, then events.

Giant Steps Chardonnay and freshly filleted Caloundra bream - yet to be cooked btw :)
Nice luscious Chardonnay with good depth, limes, some oak and slight peppery tones..

I'm drinking a $5.85 Wolf Blass tonight. One down, 11 to go. What one has to do in order to get a $299 Samsung
