Opened the last of the DM secret pinot last night (Essenze).. Took everyone's advice and drank champagne while waiting for it to breathe.. Very good
Sorry to join late... but what's this picture of a book in your post??????
Surely that does not count! RealTMA please realise that previous posts of food/animals did show food "less cooked" but at least it was there!
I need to trust what I see on the internet.. Otherwise.. what's next... is that really Chardonnay in your glass???
If (and only if) that really is what you had for dinner then it looks very nice...
P.S. I don't think it takes a few years to prepare "tea smoked salmon"
P.P.S Thank-you for providing me an opportunity to fantasise about savouring such a fantastic looking wine/ food combo
Yarra Valley I have a bottle stashed away for a rainy day, being quite partial to a bit of merlot.Ok, UpInTheAir one for you, Bru!
Tomorrow's ragù bolognese for dinner during the innings change. (No underarm please.) Katoomba 2009 Petit Verdot (nice purple colour still very drinkable) in the ragù and the Hunter Valley St Hubert's for tonight's sausages and mash.

St Hubert's is a nice quaffer. (HVWS dozen?) Nicely integrated fruit, spice (or is that from tasting the ragù) with pleasant softer style palate, drinkable depth.
