Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Re: Nice Wines I have DranK Recently - Red or White

Ah so it's the last item then! :) How can I now keep my DYKWIA status amongst friends. Out with my Vinturi then! :)

We should just use a large salad bowl, pour in the wine, aerate it with a whisk then put back in the bottle. I've got strange looks in restaurants for aerating a recently opened wine by gently inverting the bottle (with cap or hand over the top:) ) several times.:)

I've seen this one in use and quite like the look of it:

I'm tempted to take this one with when we go to a restaurant ;)

Epic dinner on Saturday night at Fino at Seppeltsfield with a motley crew of winemakers and the odd sommelier and general wine bum.

Front row left to right: Matt (Winemaker Smidge Wines), Kevin (Winemaker Yalumba), Charlie (clutching the bottles, Winemaker Yangarra Wines), Fiona (Winemaker Seppeltsfield), Carps (Winemaker Tintara), Sarah (Winemaker Wynns Coonawarra), Iain (Winemaker/Owner Brokenwood),

Second Row: Patrick (Somm at Magill estate), Rebecca (Winemaker Bremerton Wines), Corrina (Winemaker Olivers Taranga), Mary (Viti guru), Nicole (ex-somm), James (Winemaker Jauma Wines)

Back Row: Adam (Winemaker Shaw + Smith), Emma (Winemaker at Treasury Estates), Shadowy looking bloke (Me), Andy (Winemaker Oxford Landing), Andrew (Torbreck Wines)

Plenty of highlights .... some great Champagnes... Taitinger Comte de Champagne 2004, Pol Roger Winston Churchill 1999, Some great white Burgundies... Bonneau du Martray Corton Charlemagne and Roulot Meursault, Some cracking red Burgundies, some Sauternes and some amazing Seppeltsfield fortified including the super rare DP64 Tokay and the new mega-100 year old Para sold in a Lurlique decanter for $10,000

Followed by two games of rugby on telly and a recovery lunch in the Barossa with Iain Riggs it's a very slow Monday.

Better at what? "Look, we're 4x better at looking good in graphs that our competitors"? :)
Better at aerating one would assume :p
I'm certainly happy with it, especially ay $10.

Does it work well? Saw it in a shop once in Sydney, but it looked a little gimmicky at the time, so didn't buy.

Havent used it myself but Two Hands use them.

I'm feeling ripped off - I bought my aerator on sale from HN - but it was $6- more than yours :(

Seems to do the job, and like your duckbill one it pushes into the bottle and doesn't drip.

Doesn't that stir up the sediment?

I do have a vinturi - it is a mini one that seems to make a mess every time I use it (not just at the end of the bottle )
I saw this one on special (or maybe clearance) and grabbed it - I'm very happy with it.

The mollydooker shake may not be a patented item, but his marketing is second to none.
