Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

2005 Shirvington cab sav for my birthday tipple tonight. Black fruits, vanilla, spice and a touch of menthol on the palate with a very luxurious mouth feel. A slightly tart but long finish. Yum.

A friend dropped by after work and opened this. Another first for me. Fumin was thought to be extinct but re-discovered. From Valle d'Aosto in Italy, literally just on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc tunnel. A very enjoyable wine. Worth seeking out.

Enjoying a '10 StHalletts OBST single vintage Shiraz - 2nd last and drinking very nicely

Taken a liking to the Petaluma whites after enjoying one on a recent VA flight. Bought two of the 2016 SSB last week. Quite happy.
Having a weekend getaway this weekend in Mandurah and found th SB in the local bottlo.
Picked up a 2015 and 2016 for comparison. The 2015 is going down well.IMAG3118.jpg

HSW served the 2012 vintage couple of weeks ago at exec lounge. I don't normally drink SB but this one was very nice. Not your typical over the top fruity SB.

Marius picking day on the weekend...A very happy Roger Pike indeed - high tonnage and excellent quality

Got to try amongst others 04,05,07,10,11 & 14 Vintages - the 05 Blend the highlight for me

Great day to learn about wine
