Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

i have long sought this type of establishment - Members only - over-looking Port Philip Bay - steak cooked to perfection - Member discount sees steaks down to $35:

And now to the plonk - I knew what might be available - what to chose - oh I know:

Seriously? 2005 389 in a restaurant for $110 less Member discount $15 = $95?

Very nice!

Being used to quality restaurants making huge markups on wine it’s always nice to score a bargain, like when Diana Madeline was offered cheaper than retail in BNE.

Preference: Dog Point > Arlewood > Shawdowfax > In Dreams > Tuerong

They were my second bottles of the Dog Point and Arlewood - definitely seemed better this time around

How's the 2000 Maurice O'Shea? I still have a couple in my cellar

+1 Even more so when you can use an Entertainment voucher or discounted gift card for a further discount :)

Would love to hear about the Sami-Odi!

Had half and put the rest aside to try tonight- so far very nice. Silken, deep

I wasn’t too impressed on first opening - but it was mighty mighty wine by the end :D

Touring some vineyards today and back for round 2 tonight

How’s the oak on the 2000 Maurice’s O’Shea? It was very dominated when I first tried this in cellar door 15years ago.i still haven’t open my first bottle yet.

Everything was in balance once it opened up, I really enjoyed it.

I had this tucked away thinking it was a ‘14, I noticed on CellarTracker it was ‘11 and was worried it might have been past it.
Held up pretty well, good balance and decent legs.
I love the description of all Bloodwood wines. An expert p*ss taker
