And:

a) What was it like?
b) Why wasn't I invited? :p

a) not bad. Was going to crack a Pinot (venison needed something lighter in tannins due to the leaness) and figured I purchased six of these and it fitted the bill so why not. Quite a lifted, fruit driver now. Red fruits. Decent acid, medium minus tannins and medium length. 88 points from me. Great QPR.
b) I'd like to not be banned from AFF. Just kidding. Have 5 more bottles. I'm sure we can share one if you're ever in town for more then a fortnight.

Penny for your thoughts?
any notes on the 2010 and 2012 ?like to know how they are travelling.

Sorry for the late response to this. Detailed notes taken by one of the members are available here Pewsey Vale Riesling Vertical 29 May 2019 - The Auswine Forum

Both 2010 and 2012 rated highly with both drinking very well. If I had 2010s I'd be drinking now and over the next four years. The '12s I'd drink now and over the next six years.

no need to apologies , JohnM did mention the 2008 and 2012 and thats good enough for me. i did saw those notes not long ago from auswine forum and was thinking it might be from the same group or the same person. good notes by the way.

I got it around the wrong way for WOTN - it was the 2008 by one vote over the 2012 by the dithering tie-breaker. But nothing much in it across the range, except for the very young 2018 which hadn't yet settled down.

didn't buy any 2008 back then because i don't really like it when it was first release, taste like a bit of those metal dust back in high school days(metal work?) started buying from the 2010 vintage. really surprised how it turns out 10 years later.

Recent order from VM. Opened one bottle to check if it has potential or need to send back. Nice drop, full bodied yet soft and fruity. Drinking well now but probably needs few more years to show full potential.

From my early wine purchase days, very attractive when young because of the oak and the fresh sweetness on the nose ,20 years later it is the very opposite.

Light red fruit ,earthy and leather ,tannins still around ,just a little sweetness left on the palate. Also one of the few hunter wine that has a good cork.

Filled up with petrol going from Poland into the Czech. Rep., saw this when I was paying and thought why not, wines from this area have been talked about a bit on here in TRS. Fairly light, sweetish but not overly so, would have it again.
