Would love a do not like button, specifically for anything Penfolds. Sure they are ok wines but seriously overpriced.

Overpriced if you buy at retail price. Many Penfolds labels are often heavily discounted up to their real value (not the 707). Hopefully @Rugby got that gem back when price wasn’t as inflated.

Not completely sure, but we think we got it in about 2007, for about $150. We got two 707s and three St Henri Shiraz, all 2004, at the same time. This is the first of the five we’ve tried.

Sidebar question, what brand is the decanter? I have one which looks similar- looks great but terrible to pour from. I've relegated mine to water only where spillage worries me less!

PDog - no branding on it, Mrs Rugby got a couple at a homewares shop. I suspect they were designed for water, but I like the look too and that they’re compact. Agree that it’s not great for pouring, but practice makes perfect :)

What did you think of the 707?
I had the 2008 a couple months back and it was one of the best wines I’ve ever had.

Each to their own. Penfolds not the only brand to heavily discount and it has been years since I've been tempted by a Penfolds wine, plenty of others great wines at half the Penfolds price or less. But I do understand for some who maybe aren't quite so wine focussed that the Penfolds name is somewhat of a guarantee that you'll at least get a decent wine.
