Nope. The second, third... glass resolves the issue!Bloody sulphites. I start sneezing if I have more than a couple of glasses of wine and I think it's the sulphites.
Does anyone else have this problem ?
Very good PN and great value for the price. It can easily compete and outplay better known more expensive PNs.
Gosh I love this with some bottle age. Purchased this seven years ago and been in my cellar since. Was prior to Krug ID being introduced so not exactly sure when this was disgorged. Lovely autolytic, nutty characters going on. A lovely golden colour with a velvety mousse. Finishes very long. Or in layman's terms...yum!

Will have to check it out, rates reasonably well on tWF too. $35 seems like decent value, any thoughts on how it compares to say DCB, Hoddles or Garagiste?

I had some '13 the other week. Was defo young - opened up ok after a bit. Had some '09 last week and it was superb. Both those years were rated very well and expected to last a couple of decades easily.I've got an 04 sitting in the cellar somewhere. I should probably drink that sooner rather than later. Based on the '13 last night, I thought it would go another ten years with ease.
Grenache time.
Both wines are 2019 vintage, similarly priced and received high scores (Paralain 95 / Swinney 96+).
Two very different styles. Paralian is more dark fruit driven such as blackberry, plums. Swinney is more savoury, earthy, definitely belongs to the newer style of Grenache making and more to my taste however my +1 preferred the former.

I found the Paralian pretty nice, haven't tried the Swinney - guessing my better half might enjoy it.
We are drinking the Dodgy Bros OV 2018 - just wondering whether it was cooked though, delivered yesterday in 34 degree heat...
I do remember thinking it was scored a bit too generously when drinking it few months back. Maybe needs more time in the bottle.
Ms. B got a promotion, so we cracked the EJ Carr open - thanks @qaz for the tip!

How is the Arras? I have a couple of bottles in the cellar and it's one of those bottles of sparkling I overlook on instances where bubbles are called for and end up with Champagne.
