The 2017 Diana Madeline was well received last night at our Carols night. i took a St Hallets red, a Domaie Chandon and two Moet Chandon to lubricate our voices.
Now waiting for 6 of the 2018 Diana Madeline bottles to come from Cullens.....

Last Monday Night Supper Club dinner last night. Yes, yesterday was Tuesday, but one cannot afford to be picky when getting a booking at Marumo in Nedlands. Food was excellent, potentially the best yet. Wines are all on point and stunning.

Anyone able to guess what the 2nd from the right is? Hint: it wasn't out of place with the other three.

That's the one. It was the 2012 Reserve Pinot. It totally lived up to expectations. It was very Burgundian in style.

Well, it *is* Christmas....the Craggy Range was a bit of a surprise, the description says “peppery”, but wow was it peppery!

All really impressed with the Jacquart. Very easy drinking and some balanced sweetness. Wish i had bought more. Forest hill didn't disappoint either after 2 hours out of the bottle. Silky texture. Went well with the rib roast. Sorry I don't have more complete tasting notes.

I find the jacquart to have a very good typical champagne nose with plenty of yeast/bread aromas. However, a bit of a let down on the palate as i prefer my sparkling wines to taste like lemon curd and this is more on the lemon rind, pear skin, phenolic side. The block 5 is very oaky and needs air time to bring out the cassis/prunes/raisins. It is a superb wine that needs another 4 or so years in the cellar.

Some years ago @RooFlyer gave me this bottle of absolutely lip smackin' wine. Complete in a little wooden case.
Reading the back label, the grapes are picked at -10C! Imagine that. The grapes at that temperature have actually solidified.
So the wine.... beautiful nose, delicate, peach came to mind.
