Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Theme was cheap and cheerful. So the idea is something on the cheaper end of the spectrum that's half decent. Also something that vaguely went with fish and chips. It also was an extremely hot evening in Perth last night, hence mainly whites.

Interesting theme... I recognise that Seppelt sparkling from a recent Bud gift and it’s definitely more cheap than cheerful ;) but there are some half decent wines there that will only give you mild headache the morning after :p

Well spotted and correct source. It wasn't one of the original wines but got pulled out later in the night. It was probably the only poor wine of the night to be honest.

Today we were supposed to be onboard SQ Suites flying to NYC celebrating NYE in the air with our best friends Dom and Krug but it wasn’t meant to be...

At least we can have lunch with another SQ favourite, even though it’s the one being served down the back :p

What’s everyone’s plans for New Years?

I’m thinking of some Ruinart NV and raiding the “good” red wine cabinet.

The Ruinart changed to Bollinger Grand Annee 2005. The raided red was 2006 Langmeil Freedom Shiraz.

Was pleasantly surprised with a Tasmanian Apogee. It was really good and I tend to only drink reds and bubbles.
