We drank the Soumah last night too, a bit more punchy than what I’m used to but still enjoyable.Three Yarra Valley Pinots. Similar age, slightly different price range but somehow I managed to get them around $20 each through various discounts.
The only one that truly impressed was Rochford while the other two were a bit meh.

It tasted much better tonight.Yes we thought it’s a nice drop just lacked the X factor of a good Yarra Valley PN. For $20 I’d be happy to drink it again but if I’m judging by it’s $40 RRP there are better options out there.

I don't think I have ever heard of a Hill of Grace being called 'fine' before.View attachment 245215A milestone wine for Ms Solid. Was very dubious about this before opening because of the cork leaking but the wine itself was fine.

Shh. Fight clubStash from today's tastings in the Mornington. Main Ridge Estate in particular are still producing flawless Pinots and Chadonnays and don't get anywhere near the press they deserve (probably because of the small quantities produced)

Theme last night was Spanish wines. There was one from Portugal and a white from Turkey for good measure.
