Haha yer they clearly had a deal with Pol Roger, it was their signature champagne on the menu.
There was some sediment and I was surprised at the amount for a 2015 wine

It definitely packed a bit of oomf. Pretty chuffed with the vintage as well, considering it was bought blind.

Most would probably agree that in the Barossa at least, 2011 was not a great vintage.
Whilst this had the typical BP nose, it was nice but for me it just didn't have that wow factor.
If you have any in your cellar I would drink it now, I doubt it will get any better. I'm going to drink the rest of mine sooner rather than later, before it falls off the cliff. YMMV.

Originally I paid something, but then I got the 2nd year for $1 or free.

They do have some really good member deals, and the business is literally 2 minutes from me.
When I go collect wine, I end up talking to the team and other members doing pick ups all the time. Super friendly, but not much customer service online.

It's based right next to Penfolds Magill Estate.

No wonder all the good stuff is gone from BWS Rose Park by the time I get there.

Ah huh but it can be bought sub $160 which is best price I have seen - $250 on Penfolds site and on QFW

Herringbone restaurant do corkage at $25 a bottle, so we took both our bottles

This is not just another wine, it’s a Jimmy Watson winner!

Nice and easy drinking, quite fresh even a bit purplish despite its age and dark colour. Classic Syrah.

While I certainly enjoy big Barossa reds, I also enjoy Hunter Shiraz.
This particular one was nice easy drinking, light to medium body without those do your head in tannins. I could easily drink this during summer.

Took this to BYO Japanese place in Subiaco. We keep going back there as the food is excellent....and well, they allow BYO! First time trying this wine and quite liked it. Maybe a tad over-priced but I'd still get it again.

Does this count? Thought it was pretty good actually, only aspect that doesn't stack up for us is the price - did order a couple of bottles in case we catch up with friends (yes why do we even have friends who don't drink...).

Second jab done yesterday morning, Hot grill ready waiting for me at home, nothing too fatty goes with the wine, and the wine does go well with the pain(sore arm),now I need Panadol for my headache.

Bold... only reason I went with NON was because the boss at home got her 2nd jab yesterday.

I also had a somewhat dull headache, but looking at the above yours may have just been from the wine!

I did ask the nurse from the first jab, alcohol is not a problem and I only had a glass of each wine,now the sore arm is worst than my headache.
