So we were cleaning out my late brother’s place and came to his wine. My sisters didn’t want this horrible old stuff, covered in an inch of dust, so I took custody of it. Probably going to be opened for a Christmas toast to him.
It would have been kept in a cool position and relatively un disturbed for most of its life. Contents look pretty full.
Any opinions on what it may be like? (offers to sample to assist opinion will be politely declined )

1977 Grange was opened for Christmas lunch and it was great! I dare say those with a more educated palate than me would find some fault with it, and I think it was somewhere past its best, but eminently drinkable and we toasted my late brother with it many times over
Apparently it had been re-corked and topped up, maybe 15 years ago.

Hopefully you cooked that bad boy before you ate it!
I have a few of the Penfolds Reserve Shiraz Cab, what are they like, how are they drinking?
I wasn’t planning on trying my first until about 2028
