Update.Speculative Chrissie drinks auction win, all probably 30 - 40 years old?
Pasha Coffee liqueur (bought for the bottles as much as anything) is a winner! Relieved not to see a Bailey's like dairy product. If the coffee flavour has waned then it would have blown my head off when young.
Danziger Gold Wasser is brilliant, almost butterscotch with herbal overtones.
Looking forward to a cheque from SA Water for my more valuable contributions.
My non drinking friend loves them both, amazing!
Yet to try the Millefiori ... tempted but a bit early

No cork problem here and I found the wine quite good for a quaffer with thanks to @Whining&dining for the giftPurchased during the CD sale last year, finally got to open a bottle. Strangely the cork broke which is unusual for such a young and supposedly premium wine. Maybe it was stored vertically. The wine itself is fine, easy drinking but feels too simple. When someone pay $85 they’d expect some complexity. Can’t complain for the price I’ve paid but also can’t recommend it.

I agree it is definitely not complex but is a step up from ChiantiFor a quaffer it’s acceptable, I agree but to me is not complex enough for the premium label Penfolds sells it under.
You've now got me dreaming of Jeannie.Update.
Millefiori is very moreish like a dialled down Limoncello? 1 litre.
Gold Wasser herbals get a bit much after the first glass & that's OK.
Pasha Coffee though is bloody delicious. Especially if it's 40-50 years old!
Bought for the bottles really, amazed by the contents, even if Barbara Eden didn't emerge.
How was the Tahbilk? I have a couple in the wine fridge?Saturday night with smoked brisket. Finally a chance to crack the double magnum

Nice wine, good tannins, drinkable now. Got a dozen from somewhere before Xmas. Almost gone! How was Torbreck Woodcutter's?
All depends how good the friend is!Pre-empting my evening, I have the champagne sorted but which of these reds should I open? Holiday barbecue at a friend’s house, warmish evening but not too hot….is The Lear too young at 2019? Thinking the Clarendon Hills too risky to take as it is under cork.
