No J classics online / JASA costs [temporarily] jumped dramatically

Isn't it nice when members self moderate and keep the peace :D Nicely done you two, gone up in my estimation.

I'm sure Qantas will fix it, perhaps not in time for some to arrange Y/J/F ASA's they were planning (me to PER next weekend) :o

In the meantime, I'll just have to use my AA points.

Medhead, nice pick up, I'd missed that! Hmmm, something to do this afternoon then

I rang up again after Red Roo's comment and was told again that you can only book online - she said if you book over the phone, they log into your account online and book it - which in this case won't fix the problem!

Still showing higher rates for Silver up for ASAs...

In terms of phoning up to book, the lady I spoke to on Friday at QF's Prem desk was willing to process the booking at the cheaper ASAs showing for bronze.

Not sure though how the general reservations will do in trying to process the ASAs.

The msg rcvd from FB states that on Monday they should have an update on situation.

Hope this info helps.

It might not fix their IT problem, but it'll fix the problem of getting a JASA booked ;)

I took odoherty's post to mean that the agent will simply log into your account to attempt to book a JASA, but will just see what you see, including the ludicrous points prices - hence JASA not able to booked (at a reasonable cost).

I'll allow that I may have misread odoherty's post. :)

Nope you read it correctly, tuapekastar. That's what I meant - based on the many times I have been told as such by Telephone Reservations!

Update - now nearing 5 days (from when I noticed) and no resolution :-(

Fingers crossed for some positive outcome tomorrow...

Kind of back.

I can't seem to get CBR-SYD-BNE for ~33k points anymore or 16k + $150. The direct flights are back at their old rates though but I kind of liked going via SYD and getting double the number of points + SCs.

Hopefully it's a work in progress :)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Thankfully I hadn't confirmed my flights

Am having issues with AA on my award booking for 15 May BNE/.../PER, so thinking of letting the held booking lapse, and have 2 options:

BNE/SYD/PER for 66K points (120 SC's), but at a slightly earlier time than I want to depart (10.20am)

BNE/MEL/PER for 74.5K at a decent time (2.55pm) but better SC earn (140 SC's) and still gets me there in time for drinks with AFF'ers (8.50pm).

Everyones thoughts please? I think via MEL is better :D

I would call and ask for a 44k deal first that Bronze can get.
If my son can get it......
Plan B Go MEL.

cove, is that a non-direct flight?

Direct is 45K for this Gold QFF'er (but leaves at 8.20am - waaaay too early), 191K for 11.20am departure and 257K for the 2.50pm departure (would be my preferred).

Also have 85 mins in MEL, so decent time for transfer (even with delay issues) [QF625 BNE/MEL arrives 5.20pm, with departure on QF481 at 6.45pm).

Hmmm, points + pay

$100.00 + 64,327
$150.00 + 59,248
$200.00 + 54,168

Just how much are my points worth :?:
