Don't wish it...it just might happen as another "enhancement".

That word is almost as hard to say as "b*s";)

In trying to imagine what sort of issue "pricing" could of had, one can only think that they think it is undercharging somewhere along the line.

I could see a letter like this:

Dear AFFers,

You may have recently noticed a slight jump of the points required for JASA in general. There has been recent changes to increase the points required for JASA, due to the following reasons:

- Overwhelming demand from customers wanting to earn SCs without paying a cent. This has cause short supplies of JASA being available to passengers.
- Global oil prices effect where oil prices has been on a new high.
- The low rate for JASA in the past was for a promotional period only as part of our marketing campaigns for JASAs. Now it has been deemed unsustainable due to worsening conditions in the general aviation market.

As a result of the changes, you will expect to see more availabilty of JASAs due to reduced demand for it.

blah blah blah

No doubt if there is re-pricing it will be to "account for the fuel surcharge". :-|

Let's wait until after 1500 today (Eastern Aust Time)...it is meant to have been "fixed" by that time...fingers crossed the PASA and JASA with P and U class stay the same

Well it is now 1517 AEST and I have just looked for a BNE SYD and showing 81158 for a JASA ...
I assume that there is U class seats on the flight as I booked a YASA yesterday (in S class 28003 pts) and I am offered a upgrade to J for 8000pts .

I know i will only earn Y class status credits/points , but I saved 45155 points doing this way for a J seat .... Little Easter treat for the weekend

Still not fixed...there are no Business Class seats coming up for any classic award anywhere online eventhough plenty of U seats...:-(

It's 16:58 and the HBA JASA SC run cost is just over 240k.

It's may put achieving platinum out of reach for me :(

For now, don't waste time looking for ASA's.

Simply check for Business Classic award availability; that's generally easier to do.

Once you see Business award availability for a flight, then go searching for ASA's on the same flight.

Of course, this is moot as Business award availability is still no showing.

That's exactly right serfy...once we can see J and P in the "Classic" award then we can check for ASA - big question is how much are they going to increase by????

At the moment as of 17.09 no premium classic awards showing for QF. BA is showing no problem...

Also got a call back from the Prem Desk - they have no timeframe now :-(....not sure what is going on but it must be something major - it's now going to be around 2 days with no classic award online :-C

Are they going to 'increase' at all? It would be conjecture at this stage.

The service centre is processing J Classic awards only at no extra charge - however if you want ASA it quoting the massive amounts...not the usual...

Crazy stuff where I can go PER-SIN-SYD in J for much less SQ points than the current JASA numbers on QF for PER-SYD direct.

Feel a bit relieved to book my late May CBR-SYD-HBA JASA status run for 16K pts/$70+++ before such inflation hit

I was trying to book a SIN-SYD on the A380 in F last night. I checked the day before and there were heaps of availability in J and F on QF32 using Classic Awards. However, last night there was only whY. I rang up and was advised that F on QF32 was still available in P. I decided that the risk of losing the F seat far outweighed the phone booking penalty, so simply booked it over the phone.

Based on the info posted above, would I be able to get a refund on the phone booking penalty?

QF A380 F for the first time! :D

I suspect getting the phone fee retrospectively credited might prove difficult. Of course, if you dont ask.....

Whilst chasing some points/scs not credited from recent JASA, I pondered maybe the upgrade here has to do with fare classes and making it "easier' for the system to split between JASA and Classic. Hopefully. Rather than any other enhancement. We can only hope.

Am also happy I booked 4 JASAs for me and 2 for mrsdoc+minidoc, a few weeks ago.
