So has 10K QFF pts per booking become the standard compensation for cancelled CD bookings? And if YES how many people have received differing compensation packages?

I don't think there is a "Standard", on this thread alone we've seen (in order of occurrence):

10kpts per booking
10kpts each transfer
Offer to fast track to next QFF status
manual booking of CD

So far, no response like "Oh sorry, that was a really stupid corporate decision to annoy our premium passengers. Just hang on a bit, and we'll soon enhance the program with so many other benefits* that you don't miss it. (* benefit to us of course.). No, that does not mean we will reinstate it. Or maybe we will. I dunno, nobody knows what's happening around here. You lot who get on planes really mess up our wonderful airline. Have a nice day.​

no compo, but got car booking done manually for a MASA in October (BNE-SYD-LAX).

Received phone call with offer of, and subsequent posting of 10k points. This was for an award booking (RTW, made via QF, with initial legs being Per-SYD-DFW). Compo was for CD booked to get to PER.

Just got off of the phone from the Plat Line and had a brief discussion re CD and it appears the reason it was cancelled was actually due to the provider not being up to scratch and unreliable. The CSO advised that they were looking at tenders for a replacement service

Not really, I have a QF award flight on EK MEL-CMB and CD is provided in MEL, but not available in CMB.

"provider not up to scratch", hey ... I'd hazard a guess that someone hit the 'selective delete' button to gauge the level of outrage! Interesting that the US-destination pax's drivers/service was so inferior to the Europe-destinations', moreso as the same company provides an excellent service to EK ... curioser and curioser, hey ... yer gotta larf!

Have a booking MEL-LAX for 2 in F mid Sept - I made all bookings and points deducted from my account Cruiserette was advised I think on May 27 that CD was cancelled but I was still expecting QF to actually contact me to advise.

Not the case - called this morn about a couple of matters and was told by a very abrupt agent that as Cruiserette had been advised there was no need to call me - AND - there would be no compensation forthcoming. I asked agent are you SURE no compensation - she says will put me on hold and check - comes back and advises they will offer me 10,000 pts comp.

WOW - kinda taken aback by the response. Might I suggest to others if you have not automatically had 10K pts appear in your account then best you call to check.

interesting situation... if they never called you and you were waiting at home for the ride... wonder what arrangements they would make if you missed your flight?

They did advise Cruiserette so I assume they assume that scenario cannot occur. I am just really surprised they would not make a point of actually contacting the pax who made and paid for booking - maybe I am wrong here.

Oh sorry - I misread that. Notification to the passenger would be all tat is required. Qantas is allowed to assume the affected passenger would contact the donor if they had a problem (provided the recipient was not a child, in which case QF should contact the responsible adult).

I'm sure they were going to let you know! There are a lot more important things, like making you aware of 'QF Golf Club'
before erasing your CD booking......
