Noise Cancelling Headphones

Slight problem with the sleep style.. I've learned to adapt. :D
I am not willing to compromise, except for the new QC20 though.
I will have to try the 20s. I have the 15s as well and it would be hard to give tham up, so the 20s would need to be very good.

Sadly, I only have the lowly QC3's....but I do love them.

Would love to get the QC20's though as I often like to lie on my side, which is impractical with over ear headphones.

The 20s are very good.. I'm very fussy as far as music quality is concerned & they appear to tick every box.

They are on my priority shopping list.. :D

I have the 15's good but seriously coughbersome for short haul..... Carry on bag trips.... Looking at qc20's for the compactness. Saw them in jb today bloody $300 Aussie tax..... asked about sales and told probably $30 off ahhhhh
Have someone in usa so with tax looking at what $230us? They are flying back. Cord is long enough with that brick on it?
We need to try get a bulk order sorted out...

In a moment of weakness, I bought a pair on the way back from China last week, to supplement my QC15s and Bose IE2s and my MIE2s and my Klipsch and Phillips and Apple earphones. (It's... a weakness). They are lovely. Very comfy and incredibly good noise cancellation. The cord length is ample. My worry is whether they are robust enough to last.

It's also impractical with the QC20s, as they stick out too far. You could just leave in the one in the outside ear, I guess.

Bought a pair of the QC20 at DJs in Brisbane. Only got $20 off, but will get the GST back when I fly out, and wanted to be sure of the extended warranty by using the Amex without being slugged on currency conversions.

Certainly work well in the air, and "aware" mode is good if using at work - otherwise can't hear people trying to talk to me!

Speaking of trying things, has anyone tried/bought the Bose in-ear NC headphones?
Yes, I tried the QC20s at a Bose store in the USA a few months ago. They are not really what I would term "in-ear" in that they don't make an acoustic seal inside the ear canal. But that means they overcome one problem some people report with true in-ear devices being uncomfortable. I found them to be very comfortable (for the few mins I had them) and the NC function was as good as other Bose NC products. If they were available when I bought my QF15s I would have bought the QC20s instead.

They are at least equal as far as audio and NC quality. The winner for me is the small size. Fitting the QF15s into my carry-on bag can be a problem at times.

Mrs Lime n self usually travel together and both have headphones me Bose 15 and her the AFF one (latter good value I night add), of course I have to stuff them in my small carry on.

I have had the creative aurvana headphones now for over 4 years still very good but I have noticed slight leakage so I would think it is time for a new set of in ear buds as all the problems ie sleeping that have been mentioned will be resolved

How do the noise cancelling headphones in Qantas First compare to the Bose QC15? Trying to work out if I need to take mine.

I have not been in QF F for a while, but they used the same headphones as J when I have been there. I find the QF J NC headphones to be ok, but not as good as the Bose. I find the Bose QF15s much more comfortable to wear for extended periods. If I have my Bose with me, I will always used them if I have a choice between Bose QF15 and QF J headphones. So unless they have an improved/upgraded product in F (over J and W product) then stick with the Bose if you have them.

Those that have the QC20's
1. Did you haggle in Dj's or were they on sale?
2. how do you find the battery pack size and location when 1. attached to laptop\tablet, 2. When attached to phone?

QC 20 update :I been told by another JBHIFI staff I can get them for $350ish in store. I have access to 5% off JBHFI gift vouchers(not credit card with out 2%fee) bringing it down $320ish and then with TAS on overseas trip will bring it around $299AU.....
