The second new 738 VH-YFE is on it's way (Believe it's being painted in the new livery after being delivered from Boeing in white).I have also heard that YFC is doing BNE-SYD-OOL tomorrow.

VH-YFE is already here, at BNE i believe, and being painted shortly.

Amazing experience with the call centre this evening, have two EK award seats on DJ tomorrow and unable to do web check-in. Called customer care ( no status) phone answered in 2 rings, friendly, helpful on-shore staff, put on hold while she checked with her supervisor about my booking.
Everything sorted. Happy Days

Yep, came *this* close to pulling the trigger on a return PE BNE-SYD, but the 90 min minimum for a same day return and other plans tomorrow made me decide not to do it.

Still looking forward to jumping on YFC sometime soon!

You could always go to the airport without a booking and keep a watch out for the White Ghost to rock up to a gate then make a last minute PE booking

PE is fully flexible and refundable isn't it? Could you just cancel if it turns out to be the wrong plane? (although i guess its tricky once you've checked in?)

Good question I've been wondering about that - you should be able to get away with not checking in until absolute last minute (30mins before) and hopefully the plane is white and on time!

I ended up booking Y, given 5C, so if any of the Virgin Staff are reading this and want to move me (Velocity Gold, by the way) to 1A. I'd have no complaints...

Just got home from BNE on my first official 'Virgin Australia' flight. They were announcing flights as VA all day at OOL and then also at BNE. All on-board announcements were VA and there were new branded safety cards and menu cards (finally, johnnie red is available But with pepsi :shock: )

I'm just using my iPhone 4...

Although, if I get on this aircraft it will be a miracle. I've had a nearly two hour delay, and my current arrival time will get me to the gate 20mins before departure of DJ535...

I'm not so impressed with Virgin Today, particually since I'm at OOL and there's no Lounge...
