Oman Air seats now showing up as QF Classic Rewards

Yep. Entered APIS soon after booking. And was able to retrieve WY PNR via entering the QF one into MH MMB (acronym overload!!).

So there is a reservation in Oman’s system which is useful for keeping an eye on to see if it drops due to ticketing delays. Maybe QF warned them as a new partner that they shouldn’t expect reservations to be ticketed in a timely manner 😂
Can you see an eTicket# on rj.com?

Nope. No e ticket # yet on RJ, MH or WY. I’m curious to see how long it takes QF and whether WY has a short ticketing window like some partners or is more lenient. I’ll lean on the escalations inbox in a few days if need be

Our booking last night have just ticketed. I filled in the APIS as @SYD suggested, and fired off an email to escalations. I got a very prompt reply (!) from Linda in QF escalations, who advised that as it was a flight from BKK, payment is made in Thai Baht, and has to be done by the QF Thailand office, who manually process this. Linda could see the points had been logged, and the booking was in the correct queue to be actioned, and she sent a request to Thailand asking the booking be actioned.
Linda earnt big brownie points for QF with us with such a quick, helpful, and explanatory response.
The QF MMB page gives 'Seatmap unavailable' for seat selection. Oman Air will not accept the QF booking code or e-ticket number to access seat selection there, but RJ MMB did allow seat selection. MH MMB looks like it will let you do seat selection as well.

I emailed the escalation team and got a response about two days later to say that because the MNL office had to ticket these flights, they required an extra PHP1620 (~$40) in taxes apparently. I was told if I elect to pay in AUD instead that extra tax wouldn’t apply. Weird.

So like vmile’s BKK, flights it seems like the trip wouldn’t have been ticketed without intervention. Once I confirmed AUD preference, the flights were ticketed within a couple of hours.

Again, contrast this to my Aeroplan WY redemption on the same day for another leg of the trip which ticketed instantly - as you’d expect.

So given the fact that all WY redemptions will be for flights originating outside Australia, there’s a good chance of having to deal with QF to get them ticketed. On the plus side, my booking held at least 72 hours unticketed without WY cancelling. I wasn’t game to leave it any longer though and wasn’t game to chance it with the call centre.

I redeemed a one-way MCT-CGK in Business last night and no ticket overnight. Went to MH MMB and the ticket number is visible and managed to select my seat as well, assuming everything is fine despite not having a ticket from QF. The re-send ticket would return an error message.

On the WY site, the booking code is apparantly in the wrong format so perhaps there is a separate booking code for WY. Might have to call them direct and find out.

Could have done MCT-KUL for less points but didn't want to chance it moving to a narrowbody.

I think WY is hosted by Sabre, if so will highly likely be a different PNR record locator than QF (Amadeus hosted).

Also a trivial observation. The WY Business Reward is currently booked in W class. Once they join oneworld, will they re-issue the ticket in U class? If not, W could potentially become mileage earning.

I had thought about it but can't find it anywhere.
I found my WY PNR via MH. Though I just tried to pull it up again and discovered a quirk: it doesn't appear on the desktop site but is there on the mobile site. So try plugging your reservation details into MH on your phone and you should see the WY/Sabre PNR.

Bravo 1022, it works!
Go in through Add Trip Details on the MH mobile app.

That's just brilliant. Thank you.
