Oneworld emerald on Jetstar

Can you show where it is? As the others have stated JQ is not part of OW so as an AA OWE you will have zero access to the lounge (and JQ dont have PB on domestic flights..

I recall JQ was included in the explorer fares, technically that's just one product, but in such a case it cold be very confusing.

I hope JQ eventually joins as a full member affiliate, or OneWorld adds an LCC tier to the rankings that JQ (and possibly others) can join, but this is the sort of thing that isn't helping, despite it being perfectly clear to us.

IMHO: Avoid J*.
OWE = Zippo to them.

And in real terms, QF WP (QF OWE) also means zippo, zero, zilch to Jet*

On a recent flight to Bali with Jet*, I made the mistake of handing over my QF card when checking in ... it was pushed back across the counter without being used or looked at. I then remember their new slogan ... "Jet*, a QF airline when it suits us and QF are paying the bills"

That's the international lounges I'm talking about the domestic, tho it states oneworld emeral travelling on a oneworld flight marketed and operated which jetstar falls under. Jetstar in my opinion is marketed as a oneworld product.
Unfortunately "our" opinions do not count for much when it comes to lounge access.

In my humble opinion I can not see JQ ever been accepted into Oneworld. Well not anytime soon....

I rang the Sydney domestic in t3 they told me I would have access but the QP in T2 or I was given the incorrect information but if I'm denied that's what's coming in response . It's only 40 mins anyway but to get the AA executive platinum status took me weeks

well if you spent time getting the status you should have spent a bit of time examining what the benefits are. You do not have access and you don't have a leg to stand on, even if they have said you did on the phone.

... I was given the incorrect information...
as all the posts above except yours: yes incorrect information.
With flights on JQ your AA or Virgin or whoever status does not entitle you & family Q Club access. Only QF status/club gets QF club access when ticketed on JQ. But is you ask politely who knows what may happen

Most people months to get status

Another example is Iberia & Vueling - no OW benefits with Vueling.

That's a bummer as I will be flying Vueling metal with an IB number ex-BCN later this month.

Oh boy, this is the US DM thread all over again. You might as well give me some personal information and I will prepare a Statement of Claim for you, let's sue straight away. Not only will you want the JQ fares reimbursed, you will want the AA EXP status cost refunded and let's add a few $xx,000s for pain and suffering.

We had two Vueling flights over x-mas GRX-BCN & BCN-ORL......more than acceptable, new planes, nice staff & on time! About 1/3 the cost of IB & others:D

I think you're going to be ok for lounge access - I read a thread when we got home where the OP mentioned that they got lounge access in BCN......I never even thought about trying:confused: Would like to know if you get access, as we intend to go back again later this year....so an update would be nice:cool:

Enjoy BCN:mrgreen:

These are $10 tickets right?

And you want them to chuck in lounge access too?

Wow.

Even $1 tickets gets you lounge access if your status entitles you to it. As is the case with most airlines.

I'm confused. The US DM trip just done was your first trip overseas, but somehow you have AA EXP. OK.

Another example is Iberia & Vueling - no OW benefits with Vueling.

I can confirm that. Unable to get in with QF WP a few years ago on BCN-ORY.

Do share! What issue do you have with TG?

and...

How did you get AA Exp Platinum?

Was that not the infant not being allowed in TG F or something?

As for the JQ issue, why waste your time. You are clearly not entitled to access, so give it up.

I thought the issue with TG was resolved... 4 seats were found on MS and Shanye said MS was excellent. So not really sure what the remaining gripe was? Or what compensation is still expected to be forthcoming.

I am interested however in the Exp! Cause that seems to have been acquired without any flying?? Share share :)

and JQ dont have PB on domestic flights..

They certainly do if you buy Row 1. I often have to tell the gate agents that I am entitled to it though. Never been refused. It shows as PRBD on the boarding pass.

I have my AA executive platinum from a status match with my premier 1k of course ;)

Doesnt matter what price you pay jetstar is marketed as a oneworld partner its on the qantas website
