OOL Lounge

I thought I would inspect The Lounge progress yesterday on the way to MEL.

Nice scaffolding.

I had a good poke around the contruction site on the weekend. No one I asked seemed to know anything.

It seems as if it might be two levels? The current ground level appears to be too small for a decent lounge space and associated back room space.

Not the best pics guys but here is some progress on the lounge.

Andrew have you tried drinking? It's not so frustrating then ;)

LOL I give up! Have tried so many different ways to upload. In preview the images appear but they don't end up on the published message. Oh well, you'll just have to make a visit to OOL ;)

(Before someone gets paranoid and yells commercial post, I don't run the site or get money... just a handy internet tip..)

They told us March..

Which would sound somewhere about right given the progress. I remember quoting the electrical contract for the QP BNE in 1996 and it ran out at $750k! Bloody expensive to wire an oversized lounge room.......and that was 15 years ago. Imagine what the full cost of even a small lounge is today with the higher material and labour costs!
