Optus $99/Mth Sim Only Plan - 60,000 Qf Pts

Shifting back to thread topic... has anyone received the bonus yet. I was in the original batch I guess, so my last (4th) payment is 2.5 weeks away with no sign of bonus yet.

Additionally, I wanted to ask if I was meant to be receiving points based on the $99 fee I keep paying, as I haven't seen ANY Optus points hit my account and that has me worried they haven't recorded my QFF number correctly. I've got original order logs in my email, so I'm not too worried about chasing them down if it comes to that, just the hassle.
 
No points for the $99 monthly payment (unlike their other plans), just the 60,000pts at the end of the 3 months.

Do you know what the pro-rata delta was for your sign-up date vs billing date? For example for mine I signed up on the 13th and my billing date is the 2nd, so my service was active a good 18+ days before I was first billed. What I'm interested in seeing is whether I get the points around the 13th of the month after I make my 3rd payment, which might save me the 4th payment.

They have my passport details, date of birth, everything else about me. Who cares whether or not they can access my coughpy optus account? What are the hackers gonna do? Buy something for the optus store and I get billed for it? That’s easy for optus to fix and reverse.

The rest of the stuff could be far more difficult and time consuming.

Doesn't look like positive spin to me. Just a statement of what and what isn't affected. If they didn't say it, they'd get questioned anyway.

Information which may have been exposed includes customers’ names, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, and, for a subset of customers, addresses, ID document numbers such as driver's licence or passport numbers. Payment detail and account passwords have not been compromised.

I see it as a subtle downplaying. That passwords weren’t compromised is possibly irrelevant in the grand scheme of things and perhaps they could have been more forthright in pointing out that fact.

And where was the call to action? What do I need to do? What are the timelines for telling me if I’m one of the 2.8 million subject to the most intrusive breach? What assistance will Optus provide to those affected?

I signed up on the 12th July, and that was also the date of my first charge, followed by August 12th and September 12th.

Isn't there an actual thread on this news item where this could be discussed, instead of cluttering a thread about a promotion from the same company?
 
Not the cheapest plan around (and no international roaming ☹️) but 60k for $297 min spend might be attractive for some. Just need to be able to switch to something afterwards.
I took the offer out about three months ago....waiting for my points and I'll be off, don't bother contacting anyone at Optus about the offer, no one has a clue.
Interstingly it was advertised as not having international roaming, but it appeared as an option after a month.

Is the Int roaming PAYG or included? The earlier comment was relating to included roaming. eg my $50 pm plan has 5 Gb per mth roaming and calls to/from OS Zone 1/2 countries included.

PAYG, with difficulty. Can only be activated via WiFi and doesn’t operate as the rest of their plans do.

That was my understanding based on previous comments. The current $79 pm plan has some roaming included. It was odd that a $99 pm plan targeting FF’rs didn’t include roaming.

This plan basically has been a way to sell frequent flyer points. I suspect there’s 0% chance of any customer retention beyond the 3 months.
 
Just in regards to the roaming my experience this week is that it’s garbage.
I’m currently in Malta and got a message on arrival from T to say that Malta wasn’t an eligible Day Pass. Got onto Wi-Fi and activated a $35/ 7 day Optus package. Malta is included as an eligible country.
Text to say it’s active shortly afterwards. It hasn’t worked at all for 4 days. Not in any location I have been.
Off to Germany this weekend will try it out there but an absolute flop so far.
