Why you're at it - get rid of the 1pm rule. It's socially acceptable to drink at 11am!
It is socially acceptable to have a drink after 18 holes of golf in the morning. Some golf games finish between 9:00-10:00am....

if you are finished by 9am than you have not got your maximum value for money for the golf game. I always get good value for my golf money, when measured as cents/swing. Even if starting in QLD in summer with no daylight savings at dawn, I can't get my 250 swings in before 9am to complete 18 holes. But maybe I spend more time than you searching for my balls, or hitting new ones into the creek.

LOL. The quicker I finish the game the more value I get, ie lower score and more time for more beers. If I had to have 250 swings during a game of golf I would be very tired and would give up golf for good.

Maybe I should take your advice and leave the golf clubs out on the front lawn next week as we have a local council hard waste collection. Better just hang onto the 6 iron for the toads (the joys of living in Qld).

I always thought of golf as a means of exercise. So more swings and more walking looking for lost balls means its better for me :p . At least I don't have the stress of worrying about whether my handicap is going up or down  .

Back in an earlier life, my cricket club had an end of season golf day. I won the Bradman award for scoring a century!

(And that was just on the first nine)

Re: (OT a bit) No more HP's in BNE domestic QP! (not so in Sydney)

I can report as of right now that there are lots of hahn premiums in Sydney terminal 3 QP !

Mind you I'm actually drinking the blue tongue.

Tthe one time i've flown F SYD/ LAX we discovered that there are 12 beers in total for the flight 6 x HP 6 x Crown. I disciovered this as the guy in 2a and I drank them by the time we were passing NZ on the right of teh aircraft

Fortuantely business still had plenty!

I was very disappointed that F ran out of Crown when I flew SYD-HKG a little while ago and I was offered HP - I really dont like HP - but I forced it down ;)

In times of adversity, it's amazing what one will force oneself to do!! :)

I will be drinking USA beers on 6,7,8 August as I will not have much choice. But who is complaining as they will be free anyway. Well not quite if you include the US$1 tip....

I don't think I have ever consumed beer when travelling in F. There are so many high quality alternatives that I can't bring myself to drink Crown or HP at such a time.
