The agreement at one institution (ANU) does not help you. I'll hold up my current employer that uses the two terms in relation to 2 different things, if that is your standard. Sacrifice of super, packaging for other benefits..

Well, my standard and everyone else's it seems, except for your employer. Next time don't accuse people of being confused when quite clearly they aren't.

Keep going with your class warfare rhetoric if you want, its a free world and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the recently installed ALP leader hinted the electorate had stopped listening to the ALP for some reason?
...?
Bit of a fail in logic there as your logic seems to be that because the Liberal party favours private business then all of a sudden the rule of law and independent bodies like ACCC/ASIC and other various corporations/safety/environmental/banking/tax law seem to vanish into thin air. If you have specific examples of wilful or negligent lack of attention and oversight then by all means - gather your selective evidence - but I think you'll find that overall - a lack of attention and oversight is just as likely to happen under an ALP government as a Liberal one because if there are failures - its usually the same public servants that have somehow failed regardless of the political colours of the particular government.
I'm not quite sure where you have developed the misconception that I think a (New) Labor Government is really any different to a Liberal Government when it comes to reigning in private industry (or, indeed, in most things). However, you should really divest yourself of it.

Companies cannot spend money on anything they want to. Because doing so attracts FBT. So it is a penalty for doing so.

LOL !!! I feel for medhead in this conversation - he has tried to point out the logic fallacy in your statement, but you just keep repeating the logic error over and over. I am reminded of the saying "there are none so blind as those who will not see"

Its the relationship between unions and the ALP in NSW that has been the subject of a lot of conjecture lately.

Interesting also that some people seem to think that "rule of law and independent bodies like ACCC/ASIC and other various corporations/safety/environmental/banking/tax law seem to vanish into thin air" for unions.

10cars 10booths in an electorate of 40000 voters is still 1 % of the voters. Would it make a difference? In an electorate of 20000 maybe .

In the seat of Moreton in 1961 had the ALP got 66 more votes they would have won the seat and government.Menzies would have gone and Arthur Caldwell would have been Prime Minister.

What was the old catch cry .. Vote early and vote often comrade.

So the LIbs now think its a good idea to make an ad that takes the mick out of Julie Collins who has a stutter.

Personally I just think its misguided and a really bad idea. Do I think that anyone who has a stutter is a moron no, do I think appointing anyone with a stutter as a minister with a lot of public speaking to do is a good idea no, but for the LIbs to try and make political gain out of it is clearly wrong it just makes them look like mean spirited bullies they just need to run on the ALP's history nothing else;it's indefensible.

Ah, Moreton. My old electorate and my grandparents electorate. A lovely old couple who just had to vote for John Howard despite hating the GST.

Is it a stutter or just a case of bunny in the headlights.

If it's a bunny moment.......go for it.

My understanding is that she doesn't have a stutter. But just didn't know how to answer. People who stutter get stuck as they try to say a word, and you know the word they are trying to say. In this case she isn't trying to say a particular word. She's struggling to say anything. I'd be disgusted if they were making fun of someone with a disability but they aren't. I don't think it's a good ad though and they have much better ammo than this.

It's a really poor tactic too, considering the wealth of material around that makes them look even more ridiculous than the people they are trying to ridicule. For example:
Abbott's stunned silence - YouTube
which sparked rumours that Dear Leader had Parkinsons.

And the ABC beat the Libs anyway-

Ever heard the line "keep your powder dry" ;)

The good ones will be wheeled out on prime time TV......youtube - blah. The one percent that see it - probably don't vote!

Yes, I was thinking of that one too. I don't know why they've gone there but it's probably a fill in until someone decides to announce a date.

I think they've just got some Born To Rule work experience kid (workchoices experience?) toiling away on their tactics now. I guess if that was the best that they could find from the countless pressers that were given in those couple of days then they'll be working overtime. Peta will be out of the drunk tank soon so she'll likely set things straight.

Oh that wasn't a good look at all

And that, dear reader, is why people who live in glass houses shouldn't watch tv in their underwear.

Seriously, they're in even deeper cough if they pull more stunts like that. For every minute of bad video of a current government minister there are ten minutes of Abbott, Pyne, Bishop etc out there to retaliate with.

I think the only personal stuff that will work and probably work very well will be Wayne Swan et al and their character assassinations of Mr Rudd

I'm sure we'll see plenty of that before the election

It's going to be dirty.
