Lol I think this thread should be renamed let's argue about absolutely everything

This thread has given me many laughs from both sides, but I don't take myself very seriously so I don't get riled up like some people.
I'm with you there, sometimes it's fun to poke people with a stick just to see the response
Australian Workers’ Union boss Paul Howes has called for tougher penalties for union corruption and criticised the government for not matching the Coalition’s policy to bring the penalty regime for unions in line with corporate law.
Mr Howes said the increased penalties for union officials introduced last year by his predecessor and Workplace Relations Minister Bill Shorten did not go far enough.
He told The Australian Financial Review Labor should adopt the Coalition’s policy.
“I can’t see any reason why anyone in the [union] movement would fear having the same penalties that apply to company directors. If you’re a crook, you’re a crook,’’ Mr Howes said.
How many overseas trips will Kevin Rudd make before the election this year? He has the G20 so including that I will go for four.
And just how is this relevant? How many point redemption's for flights have you got this year courtesy of the ATO and the Australian government? I would say at least 26.

Well I never.Paul Howes thinks TA has policies that are not necessarily bad-
Howes, Shorten split over union corruption

Wow. How <on earth> do you get to "class warfare" out of that ?Here we go the class warfare card.
Try paying some tax then you can get some flights too.

(Nevermind the absurdity of even using the phrase "class warfare card".)
QED re the previous discussion ask Moody it's Latin you know
But to answer your question it's jealousy pure and simple, the ATO make the rules not us and be careful with your language the man in the sky is watching you. Only you mind not me lol.
A few weeks ago the bookies had the Coalition paying 1.05 on winning federally. They've slipped to 1.22 last I checked. Still fairly much unbackable.
It was a relatively good panel last night - other than the constant references by all the people who should know better about "voting for the Prime Minister" I spent much less time than usual yelling at the TV, thanks to the lack of the usual far-right-winger they feel the need to typically put on for "balance".They are always thus, IMHO. [And I thought Australia was getting over this gambling fixation]
Anyway - Monday's are my favourite viewing night. Media Watch with Paul Barry at the helm really went to town on Rupert Murdoch and the secret Sun tapes. And Q&A was a fair fight between Malcolm and "Albo" with the Australian cartoonist (Leak?) being entertaining, but the ladies were disappointing tonight. Corinne Grant tried a bit too hard to be funny, and Miriam Lyons liked the sound of her own voice a bit too much. Malcolm was making more sense even when defending policies he didn't agree with 100%.
There are fee's for paying the ATO by CC - varies between 0.48% and 1.45% (IIRC). In some cases these are tax deductible, however at most that can alleviate ~40% of the cost.Shouldn't cove pay FBT on the value of the award flights "earned"? What does the ATO have to say about such benefits?
[Disclaimer - a chunk of my points are earned from work flights]
