Just caught up on KRudds performance on Q&A. What a corker! That was awesome!
It was an excellent come back.
Re Senate preferences, this is the most useful site I have found so far:
The race for the Senate: see the preference allocation of every party | World news | theguardian.com
This is on the Guardian (UK) website but it may be available on a local site too.
The carbon tax isn't going anywhere. It'll get blocked in the Senate and Abbot doesn't have the stones for a double dissolution.Yes the implication was that you didn't like the tax because it affected you ie you have savings. My fault I didn't realize you were calling me ludicrous not the tax.
Anyway important news from Tony I'm looking forward to turning back on the swimming pool heater with a discount on the current ludicrous price of electricity
Is it me or is virtually every political ad on tv by the Libs now? Maybe I'm not listening to the ALP ads or as usual they've run out of someone else's money.

Not that the price of electricity would change much even if it did go, so you may as well just turn the heater back on.
I love it too. Got the whole deal. Sometimes I put on the subtitles so as to get the whole nuance. Rudd's response may have owed a little to Jed Bartlett, but the same thought, well expressed, is as valid in his mind as anyone else's. He did well there.Oh no. I got sucked in. I love West Wing too and have the boxed series.
No chance. He's not going to risk losing senate seats to the gazillion little one-issue parties waiting to snatch up senate seats. You don't think he'd go for a double dissolution? I'm sure he said he would?
You have a $2000/quarter electricity bill !? :shock:My father spends about $200 per 1/4 in the UK & he has electric heating I spend about 10x that I would love to know what percentage is the carbon tax

Might be time to shut down the grow room.
The exact amount depends on where you live - I'm surprised it's not specifically called out in your power bill (or at least wasn't back when it was introduced). It would likely be about 10%.

Have you forgotten the subsequent possible "Joint Sitting"?The carbon tax isn't going anywhere. It'll get blocked in the Senate and Abbot doesn't have the stones for a double dissolution. ...
Solar is the go. Have turned my $850/qtr into $300/qtr cash back......coming into spring/summer I suspect the cash back will rise significantly. The thing generated 950kw in August @ $0.52/kw
He has to go to a DD first. I don't think he will.Have you forgotten the subsequent possible "Joint Sitting"?
