The thing with private schools is that if all those students entered the public system it would collapse. And everyone is entitled to some degree of public funding for education. That is a human right.

As far as car companies go I completely agree with you but it seems the unions are the reason why that area is so propped up. Manufacturing in Australia is pretty screwed. I'd much prefer funds diverted to developing Australia to be the food bowl of the world. But that won't happen under a labor government as there are no unions involved in farming.

The Fair lady may indeed suffer the indignity of being charged with an offence.
I have grave doubts that this will happen before she is retrenched by the Australian Electorate

GST is the fairest tax of all, a tax on consumption that everyone pays. I think putting it up to 12.5% would be a good idea.

My home team Sunderland appointed a new Italian manager that was accused of being a fascist. The papers were full of it, fans were going crazy about it etc He won 2 games including beating arch rivals Newcastle 3-0 now they love him and chant his name at the games.

Are you talking about Rugby League or soccer? If the former then I know nothing about it. If the latter then the mentality of soccer fans escapes me (present company excluded.

Regardless of which oxygen thief ends up as our next PM, it could be worse, Jeb Bush is getting active in the US presidential campaign trail.... God help us all.

Never said I was offended though did I? However, the intent of the word is to offend someone. I just pointed out to the person who posted it the difference between the use of the word fascist and socialist. Thanks for the advice.

. The word fascist has no place in Australian politics.

My understanding is she well could be charged.
