I've never see the mythical machine. From the thread it sounds like it is randomly flown to different lounges on different days!

I'm starting to think that too. I'm sure someone at Qantas is having a good laugh out of us trying to track the machines movements. That or it's an Autobot and some sort of promotion for Transformers 3 :p

So QF are combating the DJ Sandwich Press/Grill roll out with a nomadic pancake machine .

Could be a candidate for the next AFF Scavenger hunt.

Will report back to forum as on Thursday in bne j lounge and Friday in Sydney j lounge... Let's see if QF has more than one machine.....

They definitely have more than one machine because it has been in ADL for breakfast every time I've been there for about the last 4 weeks

Perhaps we have uncovered a WP+ benefit - you get a copy of the weekly schedule/location of the pancake machine.

Not sure about that. I've seen it in the Melbourne int J lounge, and no self respecting WP or WP1 sets foot in there :)

OT: There's been a pancake machine in the AirNZ MEL international lounge for at least 18 months ...

Meh! As a student I lived on them and similar for some years - you are all welcome to them ... :p

Used it in the SYD Int J lounge a couple of weeks back. Singularly unimpressed when a couple of tiny pikelets popped out!

That's not a pancake!

So in MEL they have it in the QP rather than the J lounge?

Might have to schedule an early morning flight ex-MEL (perhaps a JASA) to test this out!

If it becomes a QP fixture, to differentiate between the J lounge with hot cooked breakfasts, I'd be very happy, but I can't imagine QF would be that nice about it.
