And it's usually the pre-cursour to some pretty interesting fare creep, where sooner rather than later the "stripped" fare becomes a similar price to what an all-inclusive one was...There is nothing wrong with a "stripped" fare....one that is genuinely discounted for those of us that just require a seat on a flight. But this is not how it always works. You could still end up paying more for your "seat" than the person next to you who bought the works...it all depends on when you bought the ticket.
