Last time I tried, I couldn't add an Amex card but could edit the details of an existing Amex account, if this helps...

Except you can't change the card number. My card number changed due to a fraudulent transaction and I've had no Amex on Paypal ever since.

Those were my circumstances exactly, and I am still using Amex on my paypal account. Looks like its been changed now, my card expires 11/12 so looks like no Amex after that

You were able to change the card number? Or did the old card continue to work?

I was able to change the number, but it looks like this functionality has since been disabled.

It's been a very long time since I posted here but it looks as if PayPal are accepting amex once again! Just setup a new card on my PayPal account and all good.

I usually read other peoples tips on AFF but I did post a couple of years back when PayPal briefly started accepting Amex. Thought I would continue my posting 'rampage' to say I've just added a new Amex card to my PayPal account and completed a transaction.

So for all who didn't get to add their cards the first time around looks like you should be able to link your cards to PayPal once again. As someone who uses PP all the time on eBay this is great news

Likewise. Another nail in the coffin of 0.5 points per dollar, whether from Visa or Amex.
